Ashley
I caught a glimpse of the white hospital room I was in and a flash of Michael's red hair before I squeezed my eyes shut again. I felt Michael's soft hands holding one of mine as he waited for me to open my eyes again.
"It's only me Ashley." Michael said softly. "You're safe. No one can hurt you."
"Michael stop." I managed to say. "I don't want to hear that. I want to know what happened."
"How much do you remember?" Michael asked softly.
I forced my eyes open again, this time to be met with Michael's eyes. His thumb started to rub soft circles on my arm as he waited for me to answer. I went over everything that happened that day but the only thing I remembered was dark water.
"I don't remember anything from yesterday." I said.
"It was actually 3 days ago." Michael said quietly. "You've been unconscious for 3 days."
"What happened?" I replied.
"We were both in the ocean and I went up to answer a phone call. When I came back you were gone. Tyler and Luke found you unconscious by some rocks. You hit your head." I slowly brought my hand up to the back of my head and winced as it awakened the pain there. "You were bleeding so much so we rushed you to the hospital. I've been here ever since and everyone else has been stopping in whenever they can."
"You've really stayed here for 3 days?" I asked softly, giving him a smile.
"I couldn't leave you like this Ashley. For the first day they didn't even know if you were going to survive and that thought scared me more than anything." Michael responded.
He intertwined our fingers as he stood up to press a kiss against my forehead. Michael lightly kissed my lips before he sat down next to my bed again.
"How long do I have to stay here?" I questioned.
"I'm not sure." Michael answered.
"Hey, she's up!" Tyler yelled as he walked through the door.
I winced as the pounding in my head became worse. Tyler took a seat next to me and placed his hand on my arm.
"I'm sorry Ash." He said, lightly kissing my temple. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm okay I guess." I gave him a small smile.
"You look a lot better. The last time I saw you you were so pale and-"
"It's okay Ty, I'm okay now." I gave him a small smile and lightly brushed my fingers through his hair.
"We should get something to eat." Michael suggested.
"I want tacos." I spoke up.
"Me too." Tyler agreed.
"Tacos sounds good. I'll go pick them up." Michael said. He stood up and left a kiss on my forehead before he left the room.
"Do you know when I can leave here?" I questioned.
"The doctor said he wouldn't be able to tell us that until you woke up." Tyler answered.
"Well I'm up." I said. Tyler chuckled and shook his head at me.
"Would you like me to go find your doctor?" Tyler questioned. When I nodded my head he stood up and left the room leaving me alone.
I sighed before letting me eyes fall shut. My head was still pounding and all the medicine they had given me was making me tired again.
