Olivia's POV

Harry joined me in eating lunch. It was silent. We didn't talk. We were just focused on what we are eating. It was mashed potatoes, corn and ribs. After eating, I washed the dishes. When I was about to go upstairs, I was surprised to hear Harry call out my name.

"Sit with me" He said.

I was thinking to deny his request but I remembered the rule of following everything he says. I've forgotten that I've been kidnapped by this terrible man's friends and he's the owner of that sickening place. I almost thought that we're friends and that he's not as terrible as I expect him to be but he still is terrible everytime I am reminded by those things but there's nothing I can do about it.

I sat beside him and on the left side of the couch. I don't know what's up with him and why he would ask me to sit with him. After a few minutes of Harry doing things to the television, I've found out that we're going to watch a horror movie. I'm not afraid of watching horror movies but I don't love them either.

The movie had just started when Harry stood up. I watch him as he walked towards the wall and I was surprised when he switched the lights off.

I sighed heavily when he sat back on the couch. Harry grabbed a can of beer on the table that was in front of him and took a sip from it but his eyebrows furrowed and he shook the can of beer. He realized that it was empty and he looked at me.

"I'm going to get some beer" He said.

He didn't wait for my respond and suddenly took off but what he didn't know is that I sneak off behind him when he was leaving the living room.

Harry opened the fridge and took some beer. I was just right behind the door of the fridge. After a minute, Harry closed the fridge and almost dropped the can of beers because of shock. His eyes widened and his mouth was a bit opened. I was trying my best not to laugh.

"You scared the shït of out me!" He shouted.

I was about to apologize when I remembered he doesn't want me to apologize because it annoys him.

"It was unintentional" I said.

"Who cares and why did you even follow me?" He asked.

"I just want to" I lied because there's really another reason why I followed him.

We went back to the living room and continued watching. We were just silently eating popcorn and intently watching the movie. Harry doesn't react from any of the jumpscares and so did I.

After one and a half hour or so, the movie ended but the closing credits was still playing. It bothered me when Harry suddenly looked at me and spoke.

"What are you afraid of?" He asked.

"Why?" I asked.

"Looks like you weren't scared of the movie" He said.

I didn't think it was fine to tell him my weakness because he's probably going to use it on me someday.

"What if I don't tell you?" I asked him.

"Then, you won't be able to know mine" He smirked.

I was curious. Curious about him. Curious about what he's afraid of because he doesn't seem like the type of guy who's afraid of something.

"I'll tell you if you promise to be honest with me" I said.

"Of course" He said.

"I know this may sound silly and I may sound like a little kid but I'm afraid of being left alone in the dark" I said and he chuckled.

"That's what you're scared of?" He asked and I nodded while biting my lip from embarrassement.

"What about you? What are you scared of?" I asked him.

"Nothing, darling. Nothing" He said and with that, he turned off the television. I couldn't explain the way the word 'darling' escapes his lips and I don't know how to react when he called me that. I ignored it and huffed because he isn't telling me what he's scared of.

"That's not fair. You're supposed to be honest with me" I said.

"It's the truth, I'm not afraid of anything. I've got nothing to lose except my life but dying isn't frightening me either" He said.

"What about your family?" I asked without thinking.

His shade of green eyes darkened a little and his eyebrows were furrowed. His forehead formed creases and his lips formed into a thin line. I may or may not have asked a touchy subject. I was about to take back what I said when he surprises me by answering my question.

"I don't have a family. They all left" He said and I just nodded. I was afraid to speak another word because I might accidentally say something that may ruin his mood.

"What about you?" He asked.

Maybe if I tell him my story, he'll feel better. Not because my experience is worse than his but to make him think that he's not the only one who's experiencing something and that everyone has a problem and he's not alone.

"My father and brother died in a car accident. My mom left me to my aunt to work abroad but my aunt never really showed her care or love for me" I said while fiddling and staring at my fingers. I was trying so hard not to cry but a tear fell down on my cheek and I quickly wiped it away, hoping he didn't see that.

"I'm sorry" He said and I unconsciously turned my head to look at him. His words were sincere and his eyes were soft and holds pity on them.

"You don't have to apologize. That's how life is. Sometimes it's all rainbows and unicorns but sometimes it's just dark clouds and heavy rain" I said.

I laughed a little and he did too. The crinkles by his eyes showed and so was the dimple on his left cheek. The sound of his laughter and the fact that he knows how to laugh made him attractive.

"I think we should go to sleep now" he said and I agreed with him by nodding my head.

We both stood up and walked upstairs. I was just following right behind him and yawned. When we arrived on the second floor, I twisted the doorknob and was about to open the door when I saw him standing in front of his bedroom door and it looks like he was debating with himself about something. I ignored it and was about to get inside my room when I heard him speak.

"Good night, Olivia" He said and I was quite surprised to hear him say that.

"Good night, Harry" I said.
