Olivia's POV
It was already morning and the sun was rising. Harry had already packed back the things we've used last night. The tent, which we never slept on because we were talking all night about small things. The chairs, which we sat on the entire night and fell asleep on. The box, which were filled with goodies, is now empty because we've used it all up when we were so engrossed with our conversation.
Harry drove and we went back to his house. He told me that I could go swimming if I wanted to while he's going out to shop for a birthday gift.
"What's a good birthday gift?" He asked.
"A hug" I said.
"Lame" He said.
"But that'd be fine for me" I said.
"Then that's going to be your gift on your birthday" He said and that's like months away. Is he really planning to not let me go?
I was more comfortable with Harry and I feel like he is too. After our late night talks yesterday, I think we've gotten to know more each other and I think we've officially became friends. Yes, that's what we're just supposed to be. Friends. Not more than or less than that.
"Anyway, I'm leaving now because I just realized you're of no use when it comes to picking gifts" He said while walking to the front door.
"Excuse me" I said while walking towards him.
"You're not excused. Go and swim all you want because your drunk self wouldn't pass on that" He said but before I could even answer him and think of what good response to say to him, he left and closed the door behind him.
Wow, how plainly rude. I went upstairs and into my room. I didn't even bother going to the swimming pool because I'm alone and I want someone to watch over me while I'm swimming because you'll never know what will happen. Even if you know how to swim, you might get cramps or something or maybe you'll suddenly forget how to swim.
I went to the bathroom to take a bath. While taking a bath, I thought what Harry said to me the first time we woke up. He told me that we're going to attend his friends' birthday party but I was worried that maybe we might see Tom and Harry's going to be mad again because he's going to reminded by his past. Harry also told me that I should be ready before he comes back.
I'm done taking a bath so I changed my clothes and wore a simple blue dress that Harry bought for me. The length was just above my knee. I remembered when Harry told me I was short when I fell in the lake so I also wore the black high heels that Harry bought for me instead of the sneakers I always use. It made me really uncomfortable when I use the clothes Harry bought for me because he used his money for me and I'm not used to wearing heels either.
I was walking downstairs carefully and gauchely but when Harry came in, I stood up straight and tried to walk down the stairs gracefully. I was looking at his face, trying to know what's going on in his mind but he was just slowly walking towards me while staring at me in the eyes with a serious face.
It was going really good but when I took the last step, my right foot became wobbly. I was about to fall on the floor face first but Harry was quick enough to hold me. I mentally thanked him repeatedly and mentally told myself to why in the world was I trying to show-off how I look tonight.
