Paul's point of view

“Paul hurry, it’s almost time.” Troy called to me as he headed into the forest outside Camelot. I didn’t see why we had to leave Camelot as Arthur had insisted that I slept in one of the guest room I could have hid in my room until the time machine bought us back to our time.

“Ok calm down, we still have…..” I began to say before suddenly feeling sick and light headed looking at the brightly lit ceiling of

the lab.

“I hate return trips.” I said as I got up from the ground

“I know, we need to look into that.” Troy was already working on the time machine setting up a new trip.

“How did you get back before me?” I asked him

“Well I set the machine to bring us back at the same time but I must have typed the time slightly wrong, by a few seconds on my part.” He said as he got up from the computer.

“So is it ready to go?” I wanted to get back; I was looking forward to feast.

“No, the date modulator seems to be off, I think sending two people at the same time overheated it. So I’m not happy sending you back yet, I mean it is a prototype and I don’t know much about that part of the machine.” He said puzzled. Even though I was annoyed at this, he was

right.

It took me a while to get the date modulator to work and keep track of where we had been. It would be better to delay the trip as I could have ended up god knows where in the past.

“Alright, let me take a look.” I walked over to the machine to begin work on it.

Merlin’s point of view

After leaving Paul and his friend who I found out was called Troy; I headed with Arthur to the armoury to get him out of his armour and ready for the feast in a few hours.

“Make sure that you get this all cleaned up for tomorrow.” Arthur said as he handed me his armour.

“You have got to be kidding me that will take me ages to do, but fine” I said coldly, I knew that I would most likely have to miss the feast to get my work done and I think Arthur then remembered how much work he had given me.

“Don’t worry about the stables today; I’m sure the horses can wait until tomorrow I wouldn’t want you to miss out tonight. Plus you can keep Paul, company as I know I will properly be pulled off somewhere.” He said as he left the armoury

I stood there in surprised for a few seconds, it was unusual for him l to let me off cleaning the stables, I always thought it was his way of having fun as he knew I hated cleaning them, but I brushed that aside before I started to clean his armour so I could attend the feast.

Troy's point of view

It had been a busy few days; we managed to repair the time machine and improve its systems but had to delay another day as we were needed for a job. Paul had gone to speak to, I guess you could call him our boss but he really was just a mercenary who hired people to do jobs or tasks that came to him for help. The pay was good and it never was the same so it was fun as well.

I set the machine ready as I was sure Paul would want to head out as soon as he got back. I packed a few items for him to take with him, nothing that would affect the time line. It had been a few hours since then and that was when Paul entered the lab holding a box.

“So, what did he want?” I asked Paul

“It wasn’t work, he said he had forgotten to pay us last time, when I told him that he had done already he said he didn’t pay the full amount. An error with his payroll department, so there is some extra funds if we need it.” He sat down placing a box on the
