A FEW DAYS LATER
John's POV
"Alex?" I whimpered. He turned his head to me and stopped staring out at the mountains. "What?" He replied, a small smile on his face. I felt a blush creep onto my cheeks.
"I-I..." I began, my heart pounding. "What is it?" Alex urged me, frowning. "I love you. I always have. You cause me starve myself and cut myself, that's how much I want you. I try to numb the pain, I try to be good enough, but I'm not! Eliza and you, you're together now. You left with her, you kissed her!" I sobbed.
Alex looked at me with a shocked expression on his face. "You...what?" He whispered. "I love you." I said again.
Alex lifted my head and kissed me. His lips were so warm, and it all felt so right. I had waited so long for this. I wanted him so badly. I kissed back.
He pulled away, then his phone let out a small "beep". He opened his phone, his mouth dropping wide. "John, we can't do this." He snapped at me.
My heart dropped in my chest, and I held back a loud sob. "What do you mean?" I asked softly. "I love Eliza, I always will." Alexander growled, but there was a pained expression in his eyes. My heart broke into a million pieces.
"But, you..." I began. Alex stared blankly. "Eliza is pregnant. I have to be with her. I was so wrong about her, she's amazing, she's all I want." He said.
