Dishonorable Conduct

Chapter 12

Rosa watched as her brother studied the files again.

"When are you going to stop obsessing over this?" she asked. Latrelle looked at her.

"You know, I thought you'd be helping me with this. After all, you're as stubborn as a bull," he muttered. Rosa frowned, then left the room.

Running downstairs, she called to her parents.

"Mom, Dad! I'm going out with my friends!" After listening for their voices, she grabbed her backpack and headed out.

The man watched as the teenager walked out of her house, backpack in hand. He followed her as she walked down the street, until he finally put his car in park near an alley. He looked around to make sure no one was watching and climbed out of the car.

Soundlessly, he snuck up on the girl and placed a rag over her mouth and nose, dragging her into his car.
