Prologue

I stared down at at the gravel ground, kicking a lone pebble to the beat of my thoughts.

"I hate everything. I hate this place, I hate everyone, I hate myself, I hate everything." I mutter as I kick the pebble too far that I lost sight of it.

I walked up to the school grounds and sighed. I hate this place more than anything. It smells like soup and is so dusty I feel like I'm ice skating while walking. The people here suck too, especially the teachers. Not to mention, the food looks and tastes like cat vomit. But the brightside? It's senior year baby. After three years of this bull shit place, this is my last one and boy I am ready.

"Hey Falcon!" I hear a familiar voice call my childhood nickname. I turn to see the most beautiful girl in the world, my best friend Cassidy. Me and this girl have been to rock bottom and back since the age of five and I love her to death. Not like the romantic stuff, more like brother-sister-best friend. We tried that whole dating thing and it was too complicated and awkward.

"Hey Cas" I said while laughing as she jumped on me, wrapping all fours around my skinny body.

"It's senior year Jimmy. Can you believe it? Man, we're almost free" she stated while staring at the sky with dreaming eyes. She jumped off of me and reached for her bag that was slung over her bony, pale shoulder; the girl couldn't tan to save her life.

"I know you said you didn't want anything for your birthday but I got this chance to get these and... just here" she handed me an envelope as the bell rang for homeroom, she kissed my cheek goodbye and ran into the school. I walked slowly into school opening the envelope that has hearts and pot leaves doodled all over it which made me smile. Inside was a folded up lined paper that was obvious written on. I opened up the paper and my heart stopped. In between the folded paper was two tickets to the last Saturday Night Live before the Christmas hiatus. This has to be the greatest thing that I have ever gotten, ever. With smiling eyes, I opened up the letter which read:

"To my dearest Jimmy Fallon,

I really hope you don't murder me for getting you a present. But when I went to the city for a choir thing we preformed at 30 Rock and the SNL desk lady said there's two tickets to the December 19th show and put all our names in a cup then BOOM my name was picked and now here we are. This will hands down be the best night ever. Love you to death Jimmy, keep your chin up kid.

Love and pot, Cassidy"

I walked into my home room with a smile on face. I really hope the next two months whiz by, to be on SNL is my dream, my ambition. I will get there and Cassidy will come with me and it'll be amazing.
