Meet the characters

*All characters are born mundane (human) unless specified*

Layla Lovelace

Layla Lovelace is born a shadowhunter and extremely badass. She has tanned skin, dark blue eyes and wavy brown hair with dark dirty golden blonde tips. Her weapon of choice is a bladed whip, celestial bronze sword (given to her by her mother from her father who died before she was born) or butterfly knifes however she is very skilled in all areas of combat. She is quite close friends with Hermione. Layla is kind of like the ringleader of 8D (Bit like Zeus and the gods if you've read Percy Jackson.) She's the one every one relies on help and even though the other are extremely exasperating at times, she loves her friends immensely like a sibling would another sibling. (Layla is the second oldest after Hermione)

Hermione Herondale

Hermione is one of the few students who were born shadowhunter in the 2017 class of shadowhunter academy. She has ash white hair and golden eyes which leads to mistrust due to her uncanny likeness to the late Sebastian Morgenstern. Her weapon of choice is butterfly knifes although she is skilled in all areas of combat. Hermione is the oldest and just turned 17.Her friend Liz and mesh are both mundane, but Hermione does not let this bother her. She is also close friends with Layla. Hermione is a frequent gamer and her peers stay clear of her room as shouts of "DIE" or "No, you stupid pig!" and such like can be heard from down the corridor.

Alisha Ejaz (scaleleheart)

Alisha has dark brown straight hair, brown eyes and her weapon of choice katana. She is best friends with amna. Alisha is one of the quiet ones in the group, however you must not let this faze you for she is very skilled with an Aegis – which is a rare dagger that has been seethed and tempered in angel blood. The very few of these that are made are usually kept by the Iron Sisters. However Alisha has a relative who is an iron sister, and was given one for a gift.

Safa Chishti (rednight)

Safa has long Light brown hair, grey eyes and long eyelashes. She is very badass and everyone is secretly scared of her, but she will protect her friends at all costs. (If you have read Percy Jackson, she's a bit like Clarisse) Safa's weapon of choice is an axe and dagger. Safa has also been specialising in a range of exotic weapons such as weapons of martial arts traditions.

Fatima Abras (Ashdown)

She has beautiful dark brown wavy hair with blonde streaks and hazel eyes. She is dark and brooding and badass but secretly likes unicorns. Her weapon of choice is dual swords. Fatima is a bit of a trouble maker at timed and cannot be trusted around boys (unattended) – especially Jimmin.

Mehar khattack (branwell)

She is also called mesh by her good friend Hermione but her peers like to tease her by calling her 'my hair mesh khattack attack shark attack.' (Don't ask why.) She has medium length curly brown hair and green eyes. Weapon of choice is a butter knife and a mini dagger. Mehar is kind (and at times a little too kind) and very skilled at killing with a butter knife and ice cream scoop (don't ask how).

Francesca draper (Pangborn)

Aka Frankie. She has long straight beautiful golden blonde hair, Beautiful blue eyes and long eyelashes. Her weapon of choice is a bow and arrow. Frankie likes to think that she is the prettiest of them all and most would agree except for Hermione who has a long-term rivalry with the teen. Frankie relies on layla to prevent Hermione from murdering her in her sleep.

Amna Nisar (Turan)

She has straight dark dirty blonde hair, grey eyes and her best friends is sally and Alisha. Her weapon of choice is a seraph blade. Amna is the clown of the group and is not fully at all which makes it 10 times funnier.

Sally sejad (starkweather)

She has shortish brown hair highlighted red and green gold eyes. She is best friends with Alisha and Amna and her weapon of choice is a seraph dagger. Sally tries to be funny but really isn't.

Alia (Gray)

She has long dark brown hair dip dyed light brown. She is best friends with Fatima. Her weapon of choice is a crossbow and is skilled with all stringed weapons.

Madeline Vernon (trueblood) aka Maddie

She has curly brown hair dip dyed dark burgundy. She has willow coloured eyes and long lashes with a fey light freckles sprinkled over her nose. Maddie's weapon of choice is a lightweight steel and silver sword or daggers.

Caitlin Kisumba (Penhallow)

Caitlin had beautiful light brown skin and brown eyes with curly brown hair. She is best friends with Amara and her weapon of choice is bow and arrow (which she is very skilled with) or daggers.

Amara McCracken (Greymark)

Amara has long straight raven black hair and a face sprinkled with freckles. But oddly enough these freckles just add to her appearance, making her look beautiful and openhearted. She has blue grey eyes. I reality though she sticks with Caitlin and her preferred weapon is a seraph blade or a bow and arrow (which she has yet to master the skill of).

Mr Day

Aka Mr D. Mr D is the principal of the shadowhunter academy.

Zahra al-ani (Montclair)

Aka Zaz. Zahra is friend with everyone. She is a big fan of marvel and has neon green hair (dyed). She is always there if you need someone to talk to and is often underestimated.

Mary – smith holms (Whitelaw)

Mary has long straight chestnut coloured hair and brown blue and gold eyes. She has freckles and she is close friends with layla. Mary's weapon of choice is a seraph blade. She is an expert at drawing runes.

Liz Bennet

Liz has rainbow coloured straightish hair and dark grey eyes. Liz is Hermione's best friend. Her weapon of choice is broad sword.

Characters such as Clary, Jace, Alec, Izzy and Simon and Raphael are also in the story.
