"Neither of those are comforting." Lillie snapped. "How can I be dead!? I didnt do anything!"

Ryder looked at Annabelle, to the Lillie, shocked. Annabelle raised an eyebrow at him and watched as Lillie fumed, clenching and unclenching her fists.

"How can that be?" Ryder questioned.

"What do you mean 'how can that be'?! I just fucking told you I didnt do anything!" Lillie screamed.

Bell stepped in the middle. " Alright lets just calm the hell down!" Bell said sternly.

"Stay out of this, Annabelle." Ryder said, gently pushing her out of the way with his hand.

She sighed and turned away from them. "Whatever. I'll be far away from here if you need me."

She began walking away from them and then a cold hand on her arm stopped her dead in her tracks. If her heart could still beat, it would have stopped right there. She turned to see Ryder standing there, his scythe was gone and for a moment, it felt like it was just them... She quickly snapped out of her trance when she heard a loud slap. Lillie had slapped Ryder so hard that had he not have been holding Bell's arm, he would have been on the ground. She watched his calm demeanor change to anger in 3 seconds flat. He let go of her arm and disappeared in a puff of black smoke. Lillie took one look at Bell and turned and went the other direction.

"And... Im alone..." Bell whispered to herself. "Typical..."

She began walking down the dark road and saw no point in it after a while, so she stopped and sat in the middle of the street. She began to hum the tune to "Tears Dont Fall" By Bullet For My Valentine, while she picked at paint chips in the asphalt.

Ryder stood in the darkness of a shadow and watched Bell with admiration. It took a bit to calm himself after that little brat had slapped him. Though for some reason, as he watched her sitting in the street, he felt like he found someone who knew what it was like to be alone. Hmph. He realized that it probably wouldn't happen between them, and then he looked down at the ground and vanished in a black puff of smoke.

He stepped out of hiding and walked over to her. Bell jumped to her feet and faced him, immediately covering her mouth. Ryder's relaxed body language told Bell that he meant no harm and she, herself relaxed.

"What was that song you were just singing?" Ryder asked.

Bell averted her eyes. "Its called 'Tears Don't Fall'."

"Whats the first part?" He asked.

"With blood shot eyes I watch you sleeping, the warmth I feel beside me is slowly fading. Would she hear me if I called her name? Would she hold me if she knew my shame? There's always something different going wrong. The path I walk's in the wrong direction. There's always someone fucking hanging on. Can anybody help me make things better? Your tears don't fall, they crash around me. Her conscience calls, the guilty to come home. Your tears don't fall, they crash around me. Her conscience calls, the guilty to come home." Belle sang.

Ryder enjoyed her singing and didnt even listen to the words. Bell looked up at him and snapped her fingers.

"Hey Grim!" She said. "You still there?"
