The ambulance arrived just moments later. I was anxious and I couldn't hide it. As we drove to the hospital I saw Lay and his grandparents talking and he saw me inside the ambulance. I was worried and wanted Lisa to wake up, but the paramedic team told me to stay out of it. So I just stared at her and from time to time outside and in a whim we arrived at the hospital. Lisa was immediately brought to the intensive care unit.
I wasn't allowed in there for now. They needed to stabilise her vitals. Just after 5 minutes 44 seconds of waiting outside I heard them shouting for CPR. My worry grew more and more and I was about to run inside the intensive care unit but the nurses held me back. "No! My girlfriend is in there! Let me in!" "Sir, I'm sorry! You're not allowed to enter right now!" "But- I need to see her! Please!" "Call the security Suyeong-ssi!" One of the nurses said and when the other nurse was about to run I felt a hand on my shoulder. "Calm down Chanyeol, there's nothing you can do right now." It was Lay. "How do you know?! Lisa's in there! How can I know if I ever see her again! I didn't say why I needed to say yet! She can't die!" He looked worried, as if he didn't expect it but he remained calm and patted my shoulder, guided me back to the seats.
He didn't ask anything, he just sat there and waited with me. A few moments later a young men around my age walked out the intensive care unit. His eyes seemed dull and he seemed disappointed.

"He-hey I'm sorry, are you perhaps the doctor in charge?" He looked up and met my gaze, he pushed his glasses up and bowed. "Yes, I am the doctor in charge. I'm Dr. Oh Sehun." "The girl.. that arrived just 15 minutes ago.. is she alright?" "I can't talk about that, I'm not allowed to share information about my patients." "Yah, im her boyfriend! I came here with her." "You must be Mr. Park Chanyeol then. I'm sorry if I was rude, my job doesn't allows me to speak openly about patients." I bowed in response, I knew, I was just pushy and apologised for it as well. "But.. I have bad news for you..", Guilt was written all over his face, no something else. I couldn't describe it. "I'm afraid she won't wake up again. We just saved her life but we don't know when she'll wake up. We couldn't find anything weird besides her vitals yet. But the way she won't wake up, it almost seems like it's a heart - cardiologic related case. Her heart is really weak. I'm in charge of that department. So I can take this in my own hands. "Thank you, Dr Oh." I was speechless. Lisa couldn't just not wake up, she couldn't be in a coma. Why was it happening? Because she was about to die and we stopped the process? I didn't know though why she would die.
"Mr Park.. we will continue with some tests and we need an x-ray. As I see she doesn't have any legal guardians, so I need someone to sign the consent form. You're the closest person to her, right?" I immediately nodded and filled out what was needed to do. The young doctor excused himself as he had a lot of other things to do. Before he went away he stopped in his tracks. "Something is weird about your girlfriend though, she sure is not normal, I've never seen a body like hers before."
