First Day of School

Liza's POV

I just moved to Los Angeles from Houston. I'm trying to get used to this big and busy city. Anyways, today's my first day at school. I'm in 11th grade and i'm still unsure of what to expect. I'm kinda nervous but, it's worth a try. i'm now walking towards my first class, but suddenly i bump into this girl...

Liza: OMG I'M SO SORRY I DIDN'T SEE YOU THERE!

Girl: It's okay, hun. Here, let me help.

She helps me grab my things that i just dropped on the ground.

Girl: I'm Gabbie. New here?

Liza: I'm Liza and yeah. i'm new so i don't know much.

Gabbie: Oh okay. Well, since we have 20 more minutes 'til class i'll show you around!

Liza: thanks!

Gabbie: No probs. Let's go!!

So Gabbie shows me the rooms that i should go to for classes. She's really sweet and fun to be with i would like to admit.

Gabbie: Hey so i gotta go. Wanna eat together during lunch?

Liza: yeah! see ya!!

So i leave my last class before lunch very happy. And it's because i get to talk Gabbie! So i go to the cafeteria and i see Gabbie and 2 more girls. i go up to them and start to chat.

Gabbie: Hey Liza! So these are my friends Carly and Erin

Liza: Hey guys! You both look amazing!

Carly: Thanks!! Your hair is so nice!

Erin: Your makeup is so on fleek!!!

Liza: Awh thanks!

Gabbie: Come on girls Let's go eat i'm starving.

everyone laughs and we all go to the cafeteria.

We find a spare table and sit down.

Gabbie: So, Liza, tell us about yourself.

Liza: Okay, so, I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Like Beyoncé. But my parents said i would get better education here. So we moved. oh and... i'm mixed.

Erin: Wait what do you mean "mixed"?

Liza: I'm half white and Indian.

Gabbie: Ohhhh that's why you look like my mocha frappe from starbucks.

Liza: i get that all the time.

Carly: that's so cool!!

Liza: meh it's alright.

Gabbie: okay let's eat pleaseeee

Liza: why didn't you start eating yet??

Gabbie: ...i don't know
