Liza's POV

I wake up to my phone vibrating. I grab it and see a lot of notifications.

26 tagged photos
13 phone calls from Carly
10 phone calls from Erin
8 texts from Zane
2 calls from mom

My heart races as i wake Gabbie up. I shake her from the arm and she slowly wakes up. I then told her about my notifications and she takes a look.

Gabbie: What's going on?! Why do you have so many notifications?!

Liza: I don't know!!

Gabbie opens my instagram and looks at my tagged photos. All of them were photos of David with Mckenna. This time, i didn't feel sad. I felt sick to my stomach. Gabbie now exits and checks the texts from Zane.

Zane: Liza are you okay?
Zane: We're sorry.
Zane: I didn't know.
Zane: Everyone was confused as well.
Zane: If only we knew this would happen we wouldn't have invited David.
Zane: Meet us all later at the coffee shop.
Zane: See you!
Zane: Also, tell Gabbie my hello. :)

Gabbie responds to Zane's 'hello' before telling me what he said. I grab my phone and text Zane.

Liza: I'm okay. Nothing to worry. Thanks for the concern. See you later.

I send the text and call Carly right away. She and we start talking.

Liza: Hey, why'd you call so much?

Carly: Sorry about what happened yesterday. No one knew it was coming.

Liza: It's fine! We're not even dating to i don't care.

Carly: Liza i know you like him. So much. And i know it hurts.

Liza: It did last night. It's okay now.

Carly: I'm coming over.

Liza: You have classes. Gabbie and I are staying home. Don't worry, our principal knows we're staying in.

Carly: I called Principal Mcgowan. I told him You were sick.

Liza: He said yes? I only told him i was gonna be hungover...

Carly: Same thing. I'll be there in 5.

Liza: Okay.

Carly hangs up and i tell Gabbie what she said. She smiles and goes downstairs to get breakfast. As she closes the door i call my mom. She picks up after 3 seconds.

Liza: Hey what's up?

Mom: Honey, I've heard about what happened. Is everything okay?

Liza: Mom of course. And how did you know??

Mom: I called your friend Erin.

Liza: How did you know Erin is my friend???

Mom: I'm your mother stop asking questions. Anyways, are you sure you're okay?

Liza: Yes mom. I'm hanging out with my friends later so like it's fine.

Mom: Okay, Sweetie. Make sure you stay safe okay?

Liza: Okay.

Mom: Bye. Love you.

Liza: Love you too.

I hang up and I text Erin.

Liza: Hey why'd you call?

Erin: Hanging out at the coffee shop later 2pm

Liza: Yep Zane told me.

Erin: Kk. Meet you and Gabbie there.

I get up from my bed and go downstairs to eat with Gabbie. I see her on the kitchen counter eating toast and scrambled eggs. I walk up to her and we start talking.

Gabbie: What's up?

Liza: My mom was worried. Erin reminded me about later at the coffee shop.

Gabbie: Oh okay. Are you gonna eat??

Liza: I'll grab some SkinnyPop haha!

Gabbie: Suit yourself. It's your house after all.

We finish eating and talking. I look at the clock, and it was 30 minutes before the time we have to be there. Yes, it was 1:30pm. I tell Gabbie and we run upstairs as fast as we can. I grab her some clothes and i put on mine. I wore concealer, my eyebrows and some mascara since we are in a rush. Gabbie just puts on concealer and some mascara. It's now 1:46pm and we go downstairs and drive off. We park the car and we go to the coffee shop at exactly 2:00pm. Gabbie and I smile at each other because we are so relieved we made it. We look for everyone else and they are seated at the left corner. We wave and walk over.

Zane: Hey! You guys made it!

Gabbie: Yup we did!

Heath: Hey, Liza, Sorry about what happened yesterday.

Liza: Pshh! It's nothing!

Scott: Don't worry, it gets better.

Liza: Hopefully.

We all sit down and start to chat. They order the exact same thing for everyone because we all have the same taste in coffee. As i drink my coffee, i see someone...

It's....
