Year 10 English Class 5A assignment, Semester one, February 7th

As year 10, this semester you will be given four possible pieces of work to complete.

you must choose TWO of these and write a report about them to be handed in at the end of the semester.

Your choices are:

1- Write structured Letters/Emails to a person in another country. You must write regularly asking things about their culture ETC. A report must be handed in that includes one email/letter sent by you, and one email/letter sent by them, along with 5 things you have learned about the country and 10 important facts.

2- Write structured Letters/emails to a person at our corresponding high school, Lanyon High. You must write regularly, asking about their classes, day, etc. A report must be handed in that includes one email/letter sent by you, and one email/letter sent by them, along with 5 things you have learned about them and their school and 10 important facts about english.

3- Write a structured journal once a day, about your classes, the things you have learned and the things you academically find challenging. To be handed in at the end of the semester.

4- read 7 150+ page fictional books in the school library and write a detailed report on them. To be handed in at the end of the semester.

Any person who has chosen a pen-pal from another country must register their School, Name, Details and Teacher.

Any person who has chosen a pen-pal from Lanyon High must register their name, class and teacher

Any person who wishes to write a journal must write it in the proper journal structure, taught to them by their class teacher

Any person wishing to do book reports must receive the Wide Reading list and the sheet of Qs to be answered in their report.
