School Journal - English Assignment Semester one.

Monday 13th

Had maths today. I struggle with being on time. I also struggle with understanding concepts. Especially if they are never explained to me.

Mon13th February

Hey.

Everyone has snapped out of their high hopes that maybe we were all just dreaming, and that maybe school hasn't actually started. It's week 2. The annual ‘start of year teacher speeches’ have died down. No one is excited about their fluffy pink pens anymore. Smelly erasers and highlighters have officially lost their scent. Gloom has sunk in.

But on the (apparently) bright side, Valentine's day is tomorrow. Urghk. Pre- February 14th goss is sweeping the school. Seriously, what is so important about a day that was formed when a guy cut out his own heart and attempted to give it to his true love on a stick?

I asked this question to a girl in my history class and she told me that it was romantic. I told her it was idiotic. She rolled her eyes at me and went back to circling her and some guy's initials in a love heart, muttering something to herself. But, really, what if every guy removed his own heart on Valentine's day? What would it achieve?

The world is running out of rational people who ask these necessary questions.

Hope you're having fun :)

Cya! xoxoxo
