You are probably laughing at me right now because it was you who organised that it is now mandatory that we correspond, due to the fact that your grades are otherwise at terrible risk. I didn't read the email you sent me warning me about your scheme and you therefore gave me the BIGGEST SHOCK of my LIFE when my new teacher called me over to her and told me that there had been a REQUEST from a girl in another country named Sophia Gainsport, and that the request was for ME. I was seriously confused and it is considerably lucky that I go silent when I am confused because otherwise your plan to be overseas pen-pals with your best friend would have been ruined, because I am assuming you didn’t mention to your school that you already knew me and that I was actually not a foreigner in any way at ALL? How did you manage to get this past them???!

And, another thing, how did you get the name of my school and my classes ETC? oh…. never mind, you probably talked to my parents. Tell my Dad I say ‘Hi’ by the way, and buy him a bigger box of tissues. I imagine he would have used an entire average sized box crying by now, even though he knows I'm not gone forever. he is such a nerd. And tell my mother to stay home and comfort her poor husband! Actually, you may want to notify her of my absence. She probably hasn’t realised I've left. Oh, Well…
