"You saved her?" Lauren kept asking on our way back to the hotel

"I have no idea what are you talking about" I said looking at my phone, she was gorgeous, that girl. I've seen her all around Manhattan; her face was plastered in every billboard and every screen in time square.

"You saved a girl and I didn't even got to see who she was" she kept rambling

"Well, good luck next time, honey" I smiled sarcastically

"Mean" she pouted "I don't even know why we left that club, we were having a blast"

"I have to go to work at 5 am, I don't know why you came with me" Lauren looked hurt

"Thank miss" she said sarcastically

"Oh, you are very welcome my dear" I laughed a little

"Hey, mister taxi driver" she sounded so silly, the driver turned a little "Can you drop me at black flamingo?"

I looked at her shocked, the car stopped and she got down.

"I'll see you later" I didn't even had the chance to react before the driver started driving again back to the hotel

I never dreamed of staying at the plaza, it was gorgeous place to be in.

My suite was beautiful, it was called the Fitzgerald suite, and it, indeed, felt as if Scott was the one living here. I threw myself in bed feeling the exhaustion in all of my bones.

"I can't do this" I moaned, a single flashback came into my mind.

"This is our dream" my eyes opened abruptly, that voice. I knew that voice. I didn't trust my thoughts, for the last couple of months the flashbacks hit me like a truck but I couldn't quite figure out if they were real or made up.

I took my jacket and walked to the front door. I needed a drink, but mostly, I needed not to be alone with my stupid thoughts.

"Good evening Miss De Rosa" the host greeted me in the entrance of the rose club, my eyes widened.
"It is our duty to know all the names of the most important guests in our hotel" she clarified, a deep accent adorning his voice

"Nice" I whispered

"It will be only you?" he asked taking a menu

"Unfortunately, yes" I exhaled following him

I seated on one of the purple velvet chairs

"Perhaps, you would like a drink to start this evening?" he opened the menu

I looked carefully, studying the menu.

"I'm kind of hungry so..." I looked again "Bring me a roasted turkey

& avocado sandwich"

"Of course" he said turning around and leaving

"I didn't order a drink" I cursed loudly, the music muting my words.
