Chapter Two: The Cannibal

--------

-Four years later-

As I burst through the door and landed on a red carpet of the place that I ought to burn down, several things raced through my mind.

Areon’s whereabouts.

Zach’s dead body.

And my weird behavior.

Ever since that day came, my life reached its finale. After witnessing the death of Zach, Areon had gone missing. I tried tracking him down but it was for nothing. He just disappeared without saying anything.

I began eating animals, which I found utterly repellent. Back when Zach was still alive, he would kill a man and feed me with human flesh. He had been helping me to relieve my yearning for human flesh and I appreciated that.

Areon, on the other hand, didn’t do anything. He only stared and grumble some things that would probably sent me over the edge. The two of us really hated each other maybe because he was jealous of me.

“Is anybody here? I yelled but no one answered. I looked around and spotted an odd-looking door. I stared at it for a few seconds before kicking it. The door exploded with my powerful kick. I heard a squeak sound and I smirked at myself.

I quickly went inside and I saw a movement. I followed the shadow; my footsteps could be heard in the entire place. And there she was…

The girl that I decided to devour.

She was shaking in fear; her face was covered in dirt. I blinked at her twice before sitting in front of her; yoga style. I rested my head on my palm and tilted my head to the side.

“Why are you so scared?” I asked her, which I got her attention. She looked up at me and backed away a little; her back meeting the wall. She was feeling scared again. I couldn’t blame her, though.

Say you bumped into someone and that someone started chasing you, telling you that he will eat you out? Does that sound scary to you? Wouldn’t you be feeling all shitty?

“P-Please, don’t kill me…” she said.

“Huh? Kill you? Why would I? I only eat people. I don’t kill people,” I answered.

Somehow, my answer didn’t convince her. The corner of my lips began to twitch in annoyance. Now, when I think about it… People ask me that every single time. I am not a murderer. I just happen to love human flesh. I just want to satisfy my hunger.

“That’s the same as killing pe-“

“I’ve had enough!” I yelled, startling her. I quickly grabbed her pretty face and glared at her. I leaned closer to her, saying, “I’m not a murderer… Got it? I only eat! I don’t kill!”

After saying that, she started crying again. I got pissed so I reached out for her neck. I wrapped my hands around her neck, strangling her. “P-Please…” she choked out.

“Please what?”

“Don’t kill m-me…”

“It’s a little too late for that, don’t you think?” I smiled and took out a sharp knife.

Upon seeing my knife, she started struggling. “N-No! Please! No! N—Aaaaah!”

The girl’s head was sent flying over the cold floor, producing a heavy sound as it landed. The blood straightly gushed out through the open wound, staining everything in the room: the furniture, the walls and even me.

I could hear the blood squirting and it gave me pleasure. I turned to face the mirror that was hanging on the wall. It was the only thing that survived the bloody attack. I stood up and began walking towards it. As I walk towards it, I kicked the girl’s head.

Once in front of the mirror, I smiled and I opened my mouth to speak.

“You look sexy tonight with that girl’s blood, Cade.”

"Freeze! Put your hands up!"

Shit.
