Chapter 17

Sayaki P.O.V

      "Thump!"

      "Oof!Stupid bed!"

       I muttered when I fell off the bed.Groaning,I sat up and glanced at the clock.

       It was a Saturday so I had the whole day to myself!Or so I thought...

       Almost instantly,I had received a text from Nagisa saying that he wanted to train today.

       Of course,it was unexpected.But he seemed like he was pretty desperate so I agreed.

*time skip*

      "Yo Nagisa-kun!What makes you wanna train so suddenly?"

      "A...ah..I just needed to get of the house...and take a breather..."

      I raised an eyebrow but didn't question him.

      Nagisa and I made our way to the mountains-it was the most hidden spot to train.

      "Okay...Well lets do parkour then!"

       Nagisa nodded and I took off,gesturing to him to try to catch me.He got the message immediately and we began our little game of tag up on the treetops.

       Suddenly, I heard a soft hiss from my right and turned to see Nagisa wincing slightly. Frowning, I hopped over to his side.

       "What's wrong?"

        "N..nothing!I'm fine!"

        I saw right through his strained smile. Lifting up his shirt slightly, I saw purplish blue bruises decorating his stomach.

       "Who...did this..to you..?"

        I let all my bloodlust leak and glared at Nagisa's stomach.

        "N...noone!I just...tripped....and....fell down a flight of stairs...b..but I'm fine!"

        I rolled my eyes at his lie but nonetheless dropped it. If Nagisa didn't want to talk about it, I wouldn't chase.

        "Fine..just....take it easy okay?"

        Nagisa nodded and we continued our game, but slowing down our pace so that Nagisa wouldn't get more injured.

         The trees parted and I caught sight of a knife whizzing towards me.

         Instinctively,I pulled out my own knife and deflected it. A bright pink popped up among the green and orangish trees.

         I growled and raised a hand up to stop the blunette following behind me.

         The girl,devoid of any emotion,robotically took on a defensive position.

         "You...You were the one at the window that day!"

          Nagisa's head immediately turned to look at me...then at the girl.

         "...Rin Nee-chan?"

   
          And just like that,with that one innocent sentence,the bubblegum girl's eyes widened as she slowly looked at the teary-eyed bluenette.

          "Nagi-chan?...And...S...Sayaki-chan..."

          I growled.
   
        "Who are you?!Why do you know my name?And why did you call Nagisa 'Nagi-chan'?!"

         I felt a migraine coming.Nagisa groaned and clutched his head too.

         The girl....Rin...regained her emotionless facade.

         "It seems that you don't remember...Nagi-chan...you too huh?Well...its goodbye for now"

          Rin zoomed off and left me and Nagisa on the treetops.

          After a few minutes of silence,I turned to Nagisa.

       "Hey?Ya alright?"

        Nagisa nodded.

          Is it just me or are Nagisa's eyes a tad bit sharper?

         Gulping,I straightened and helped him up.

          "Well...Should we go our seperate ways now?"

           Nodding absently,Nagisa stepped back and brushed the dirt off his shirt before waving goodbye.

        I frowned and waved back.

        Just what on earth happened?

       Rin....Sayaki...Karma...

       Somehow I felt as though I knew them...It was frustrating.

       I knew I had forgotten something.I knew that a part of me was always missing...But what?!

     No matter how hard I tried,I couldn't remember...Sometimes,a few small memories flood my mind...followed by a head splitting headache.

    That pink hair...I hate it...But why?

    The sky had turned to a pinkish orange.

    "Yo"

    I jumped and gave a tiny shriek.

    Red and mercury filled my vision.

     Karma.
