Chapter 7

Sayaki P.O.V

       "Shit...Karasuma and octopus already thinks that I'm an assassin...Danggit I should have waited a little longer..." I mumbled silently.

        Groaning,I used my concealer to hide my presence and made my way up the moutain again.

         "-nate you?"

         "NUYA?!?!?!"

         Damn it.Too late,their already done with their conversation...

         I walked up too Karasuma,who was now flipping through the files after the octopus left.

        Right on cue,my concealer faded,earning a few shocked gasps from Karasuma.

      "What are you doing here?I-"

       "Don't even bother asking,Karasuma.I know you think I'm an assassin and I am.But thats all in the past now,I want to be normal again,so please don't tell the E class..."

        Karasuma was silent.

        "If that is what you wish,then I shall allow it,but you will not be able to keep the secret forever you know,they will find out sooner or later,"

        "I know,but I am willing to sacrifice anything just to not let them find out,"

        Karasuma's usual steel gaze softened as he said,

           "Good luck,"

          Feeling a heavy weight lift off my shoulder,I sighed and left the classroom.

        "Boo!"

         "What do you want Bakabane-kun?"

        Karma's vein popped.

         Good....Now I just have to keep annoying him till he leaves.

        "Aww......Sayaki...I'm hurt..."

        "Good,"

         Karma sighed as he grabbed my hand,turning me around face to face with his mercury eyes.

         A faint blush dusted my face as I struggled to keep my facade on.

        "Akabane....I have to go home,I'll talk to you tomorrow..."

        I jerked my hand away and continued walking,aware of his gaze burning into my back.

      *time skip~*

     I climbed into bed.

     Sighing contently under my warm covers,I felt my eyelids droop into the world of pain.

      Oh no.

      My nightmares are coming back...

      I was in a world of darkness,where noone resided but me.

     "Sayaki...."

     Setsuna was smiling at me.

    The next moment,she was covered in blood.

     No...

     Setsuna...

     "SaYaki....whY dID yOu NOt sTop Naòmi?!YoU kiLLeD Me...I haTe You..."

     "I haTe YoU!"
   
       "I haTe YoU!"
       
            "I haTe YoU!"

        Setsuna's yellow eyes turned dull as she stumbled forward.

       I covered my eyes.

      Make it stop please...

      Please....

      I screamed.

      Can't breathe...

      As I stumbled downstairs,I felt myself burning up.My body felt like it was on fire.

     Opening tbe medicine cupboard,I shakily took out a bottle of sleeping pills.

     I stopped taking them when my nightmares stopped but I needed them tonight.

   Just for...tonight...

       I swallowed a random amount of the pills and climbed back upstairs

      As soon as my head hit the pillow,I drifted off into a comforting land of darkness...

Karma P.O.V

     "Karma-kun!Late again!"

      Koro-Sensei's face was red with anger.
 
      I simply shrugged and made my way past the fuming octopus to my seat.

      Sayaki's not here....

      I noticed the spot empty and couldn't help but feel worried.Sayaki had never skipped school before.Glancing at the clock,I stood up and decided to search for Sayaki.

    Who gives a damn about math.

      *time skip*

    I knocked on the Mizuki resident's door.

   No answer.
 
   Knocking it a few more times,I decided that it would be faster to just use my assassin training skills.

  Jumping into Sayaki's room,a scarring scene awaited me.

  Sayaki was lying in bed,her face pale and eyes swollen.But what scared me the most was that she was deathly still.

  Scrambling to her side,I checked fpr a pulse.

Ba dump....

Ba dump....

Ba dump...

  It was faint.I quickly called the ambulance and when I saw the bottle of sleeping pills,I immediately carried Sayaki to the toilet.

  Then,I pushed 2 fingers into her mouth,causing her to vomit.

   "K...karma kun..?What are..y..you..doin-"

    Quickly,I patted her head and signaled her to not talk.She seemed to understand and closed her eyes.

    I could only stare at her sleeping body and was dimly aware of people scrambling about and pulling Sayaki out of my grasp.
 
    Before I passed out from sheer exhaustion,I could only wonder what Sayaki had gone through...
