*nine years before*

"Daddy! I'm home!" I shouted so he could hear me. I saw mom heading downstairs and kissed her cheeks. "Mija, your papa is in his study" Mom said. "Thanks, Mom." I replied She's actually my stepmother, Keleigh Cojuanco-De la Vega. My real mom, Selia Aragon- De la Vega, died in giving birth to my twin brothers, Caleb Draco and Calcifer Dylan. They're a four-year-old carbon copy of dad, I must say. They're also really naughty and loud!

[Spanish: Mija English:My Daughter]

I went to the twins' bedroom to check if they're there when I heard Calcifer shouting from the playroom. Argh, I think they're fighting over what game to play again. I decided to head to dad's study room instead. "Hi, daddy." I greeted and hugged him. "Reinita, you're home early." dad replied with a smile. "Well, I'm excited to meet your guests, daddy!" I said. I can't even hide the excitement in my voice. My dad smiled and caressed my cheek "I'm sure you'll enjoy Kais' company," he said. Ugh! I can't wait to meet dad's investor and his family.

[Spanish: Reinita English: Little Queen]

I bid dad goodbye and went to my room to change my clothes. Sana maging kaibigan ko yung anak ng investor! Gagawin ko nga muna yung mga assignments para puro laro nalang mamaya. While I was finding something inside the drawer beside my bed, I noticed our family picture. That was the last photo I had with my mommy, she was eight months pregnant there. I miss her so much.

After two hours of waiting, Cassi heard the gates open and immediately went downstairs. There she saw her mom and dad waiting by the door. "Mom, dad, where's Caleb and Calcifer?" I asked. "They're at the kitchen probably taking a bite from the cake," Mom said and laughed. I smiled back and went to the kitchen. I asked the maid where the twins is and she said they were at the garden.

I went to the garden to find them when someone tapped my back lightly. I turned my head only to find no one behind my back. Okay, that's quite creepy. I turned my head again. "Boo!" the boy said. "Arghh! Mama! Papa!" I shouted and almost cried. The boy in front of me was laughing hard. After a few seconds filled with his laughter, he decided to lend a hand and helped me stand up. "Loco! I will tell what you did to my daddy and he's gonna' scold you!" I shouted. I was so angry while he's just smiling in front of me. "I'm not scared, lady. By the way, what's your name?" he asked. "Why should I tell you?" I asked him back. "Sigh, fine, me first. I'm Kaiser, but you can call me 'Kais'" he said and winked. I then sighed and accepted his hand. "Reese," I've always wanted someone to call me that, but everyone keeps on calling me "Cassandra" or "Cassi".

[Spanish: Loco  English:Crazy]

Since then, we were inseparable, we were partner in crimes and our favorite playmates. But that didn't last because one day, I woke up not seeing him in our play room. I asked dad and he said Kais moved out of the country.

"Sigh, I miss you, Reese." I muttered while looking at the only picture we had. I've always treasured our memories, that is why I framed it.

"Jacob, go downstairs! The car's already waiting," my sister, Kace Jacey, shouted.

"Okay!" I replied back.

"I can't wait go home and see you again," I said then hid the picture back to my bag.

When I'm done checking my things, I then went downstairs.
