"Patton where are we?" He uncovered Logan's eyes
"Happy Birthday Logan!" He heard a small gasp
"Patton..." He turned around to face him "This is what you were doing?" A space in his usual study tree had been further hollowed out with blue live paper eagles flapping their wings on the branches, a space had been turned into a book rack in the hollow and there was now a ladder up to it from the one he'd hollowed out. The scent of pine carried from the new seat. The ornament baby hippogriff inside turned its head and yawned.
"Oh Merlin. You got me a Hippogrifflette?" Patton smiled, gesturing to the grown up hippogriff
"This is its mother. Do you want a ride?" Logan breathed
"You've done so much..." Patton grinned
"Of course I have it's your special day!" They bowed to the hippogriff and let it bow back before climbing on with the baby flying to Logan's lap. "She likes you" Their ride rose into the air as Logan murmured at the view
"This is amazing Patt..." He leaned forward and kissed his cheek, biting his lip nervously until he was pulled into an airborne lip to lip touch, their lips moving perfectly as they held each other. The rest of the ride disappeared, the kiss lasting forever because neither wanted to stop. When they broke off to breathe Logan smiled and whispered
"I love you" Patton kissed him and answered
"I love you too"
