Chapter 10 I'm a what!?

"Wow, that was... Interesting." Kendra said and I nodded, I looked up at Charles and he looked like he was stuck thinking about.. Something.

"Charles, what are you thinking about?" I asked him and he looked at me and by the way his face seemed he didn't seem to be thinking about something good.

"Something tells me that this isn't over... There is still something to come." He almost whispered the last of his sentence, I kinda started to worry abit but shrugged it off.. I knew that it was over, Josephine seemed to understand and I knew she would take care of it.

"Well, you kids should go home." Charles said and we got on the bus

"But where are you going to stay?" I asked Charles as he got on the bus with us, he couldn't go back to his house.. The police still might be there.

"The police might be gone.. Don't worry about me." Charles said and I nodded, I probably shouldn't worry.. Josephine is staking care of everything.. I hope

The bus ride back home was dull and lifeless.. No one really talked or Made eye contact.. Once we got off the bus, I started worrying again.

"Alright, it shouldn't be too bad." Joey told Charles and Kendra nodded

"They should be gone." Kendra said and I still couldn't get everything out of my mind.. Was it really safe to go back to his house? Would he be caught and sent to jail? No, Josephine has this.. She won't let us down.

"See you guys tomorrow." Kendra said and Joey nodded, he looked at me and smiled then turned with Kendra to go home, I looked at Charles and he gave me a weak smile.

"I hope to find out that Josephine takes care of this, goodnight." I said and Charles nodded and I started walking home, having today's events stuck in my head.

"Where we're you!" I heard a voice and turned on my heel, Misty was behind me with her hands on her hips, she was staring daggers at me.

"Hanging out with Kendra... Why?" I asked her and she sighed and rolled her eyes

"If you don't tell grandma I was at a party, I won't tell her that you went to the city." Misty said and I thought for a moment, how did she know?

"Fine." I said and she smiled and I turned and opened the door, Grandma was sitting on the couch watching tv.

"Hey, grandma." I said and went up the stairs with Misty on my tail, once we were in our room Misty closed the door and sat on her bed.

"Ok, so why were you in the city?" She asked and I looked at her, I just sat on my bed

"Reasons, why did you lie to grandma?" I asked Misty and she looked at me and rubbed her forehead

"First, I didn't lie to her.. I just needed a ride AND I kinda had to work before I went to the party." She said and I looked at her.

"Any boys?" I asked and she smiled and started laugh

"No.. Ok.. Maybe, but we didn't do anything!" She said and I laughed and raised my eye brows at her

"Get your mind out of the gutter! Nothing happened!" She said and I rolled my eyes, me and Misty then started getting ready for bed, we got into bed after it all and then said our goodnights and fell asleep.

It was probably the middle of the night when I opened my eye and looked at the clock.. it was twelve already.. I couldn't sleep so I turned in my bed and looked out my door, I saw Laura standing there looking at me with sadness written on her face, she looked up at me and walked over and sat on my bed.

"I fear she is lying." Laura said to me and I sat up in my bed and looked at her.

"Yea, I don't feel right about it either." I said and looked down at the floor, I could feel Laura looking at me.

"Before I died, my brother and her were very close.." Laura said and I felt something light up.. that was it! It wasn't just one person it was two.

"So, we are thinking the same?" Laura asked and I nodded and looked at her

"Get some rest, you will be very busy tomorrow." Laura said and I nodded and fell back onto my pillow, Laura got up off my bed and started walking to my door and once she was at the foot of my door she looked back, smiled then vanished like she usually does, I then fell in a deep sleep.

*Next morning*

I woke up the next morning ready to go, after I did that I grabbed my bag and totally bolted out the door to go get Kendra.. today would be like today.. very busy.

After I met Kendra at her house we went to go get Joey and once we got him the last thing to do was get Charles, he would probably want to come with us.

"Josephine is taking care of this, don't worry!" Joey said and I looked at him with no expression

"Well, I don't feel right about it.. I mean, her and Laura's brother were close." I told him and Kendra looked at me.

"I see, yeah, I think that we should probably go and check on Josephine." She said and I nodded, we ran into the forest and to Charles house.. his door was open, maybe he was out hunting or something?

We walked over to the house and I knocked on the door, it slowly opened and I looked behind me and saw Joey and Kendra both looking at me, I stepped in and felt my arm being tugged, I looked back.

" Aly, we can't just go inside.. that's his house!" Kendra said and I took my arm away from her hand

"It's ok.. he's probably in there and knows it's us.. I hope.." I whispered the last sentence and we all walked in, we looked around but we couldn't find Charles, we looked high and low but he still wasn't in the house.. that was until something caught my eyes.. it's was a note, and it was from Charles.

'Alison,

I have been taken in by the police.. Josephine was the cause that I am in jail now, please don't do anything to put yours and your friends lives in danger

Charles'

"What's it say?" I heard Kendra asked and I looked at her

"Josephine.. she has Charles." I said and I looked at them both then stuffed the note in my pocket and we ran out of the little house and out of the forest to go to the bus stop.

"Ok, first thing we have to do is go to Josephine and ask her what her problem is." I said as we waited by the bus stop, the bus wouldn't be here for awhile.

"Then?" Joey asked and I looked at him

"Well, if we all goes well.. we can get Charles out and Josephine will tell everyone that he is innocent." I said and we all sat on the bench next to the bus stop and wait.

I looked at my hands that were in my lap and then looked up, I saw Laura, she stood there shaking her head while tears streamed down her face, she then turned around and disappeared, just as the happened the bus came and all three of us piled on and sat down, many people stared at us and some just continued whatever they were doing.

"You know about it." I heard a lady say that was sitting next to me, I looked at her and so did Joey and Kendra.

"Pardon?" I asked her and she just stared at me, she was pretty old, "Laura, you know about Laura.. you can talk to the other side." She said and one of my eyebrows went up.. what did she mean?

"You must be mistaken.. but how do you know?" I asked, that sounded kinda stupid the woman opened her mouth to speak, "I can sense it, I'm a psychic.. just like you." She said, which it kinda scared me.
