Chapter 21

Ban POV

"So, where is everyone else?" Escanor asks.

"They're in the tavern," King says pointing to the direction out of the forest.

"Thank you," Escanor says leaving. 

"So, King do you wanna play around a little bit?" I ask.

"Sure," King says readying his chastiefol. He starts shooting them at me and I doge everyone of them.

"I don't think you're playing around, Ban," King says.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"This is for training," King says.

"You're right," I say stopping.

"How else will I be able to revive Elaine," I say. King gapes at me. 

"You wanna revive Elaine?" King says quietly.

"You still love her. I can tell," King says staring at me straight in the eye.

"No I don't," I say.

"Yes, you do. I can see it in your eyes. No doubt, I'm pretty sure Y/N can too," King says.

"But I-"

"Y/N knows but she keeps holding onto you while you're in love with someone who tortured someone," King says.

"I don't lo-"

"Don't deny it," King says sternly.

"Fine. Elaine still has a place in my heart," I say turning away from King.

"See? That wasn't so hard. Now all you have to do is tell Y/N," King says.

"No, I can't," I say.

"Then I'll tell Y/N about all the bad things you've done. Surely you've told her about all the stuff you've done," Kings says smirking.

"No don't tell her anything. She'll hate me, especially since I didn't tell her. Besides, I love Y/N way more," I say. King can't say anything about that.

"Then let me ask you something. Do you think Y/N is a de-"

"DON'T SAY THAT WORD!" I say grabbing King's shirt.

"Then I was wrong before. Instead of Y/N, you still love Elaine," King says shaking his head at me in disgust. 

"You can't move on. The only reason you're hanging onto Y/N is because you need to fill that hole in your heart. Y/N definitely knows that," King says.

"You're doing this because you love Y/N and want her for yourself," I shoot back.

"I'm doing this because I don't want to see her hurt. Besides, do you know the real sin Y/N committed?" King asks.

"No," I mutter.

"She destroyed- I won't tell you what she destroyed but she blamed it on her own sister," King says.

"Since when did she have a sister?" I ask.

"Her sister was the lucky one. She was sent to Britannia when she was older unlike Y/N. Of course, if that happened to you then you probably would be mad for a while. Y/N was different. She put the blame on her sister and people eventually found out Y/N did it. Did you she's the only sin that's still wanted?" King says.

"No," I say.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME? HER WANTED POSTER IS RIGHT THERE TOO!!!!" King says grabbing a wanted sign shoving it into my face.

"Why hasn't anyone turned her in yet?" I ask.

"They're afraid of her," King says.

"So, Y/N knows I still love Elaine," I say.
