Farewell Concert

The tour in Asia went to fast and we were back in Ireland at 1st March. Now we had three days off and the tour would go on in England, Scotland and Nothern Ireland. "The tour was so great so far.", I said to Shane at home when my phone rung. "Who is calling you?" "My brother."
Hi Steven. What's up?
Sophia, I'm in Dublin. I got a call from the hospital.
What happened?
Mum and dad.... they had an accident.
What? No. Please not.
Sophia please come to Dublin immediately.
But how are they?
They are both in a induced coma.
What??
Sophia I will explain you all then, so please come.
I'll come immediately.

"Sophia what happened?", Shane asked me. I cried. "My parents...." Shane held me close in his arms. "What is with them Sophia?" "They had an accident. They are in a induced coma. I have to go to Dublin. I cannot go with you on tour." "Oh my sweetheart. Go to them. It's ok for me. I'm gonna miss you, but to be with your parents is more important now."  "I need you Shane."  "I'll come with you. I'll call Louis that I'll stay in Dublin the next days." "Thank you." He kissed me softly. "I'm here for you Sophia."

In Dublin we went to the hospital immediately. "Sophia.", my brother waited outside. "Steven.", I cried. "The doctor said they will lay in the coma for a few weeks."  "I will stay here."  "Hey Steven, I'm so sorry for what happened. Sophia can stay as long she need to. The tour is going on in three days, but it's more important that she is here. I would give all to be on your side now." " Thanks Shane my buddy, I know that you would."

I sat on my parents side every day. Four weeks long. Then both could be awake. I cried. "Mum, dad." Both smiled at us. The doctors said they were be ok. Both had to stay in the hospital two more weeks.
After this weeks they went back home.  But they couldn't be alone. So I stayed a week more with them and Steven till we found someone to look for them the next time. Seven weeks without Shane were horrible and I took the next flight to Manchester immediately where they stayed for two nights.

I arrived the hotel late in the evening. I called Shane hours before that my parents are ok, but didn't told him that I would come. I wanted to surprise him. After seven weeks I needed him more then ever before. At the hotel I went to the reception. "Good evening. Can you please tell me the room number of Shane Filan?"  "I'm sorry, but you're not the first who asked me that." "But I'm Shanes physiotherapist." "Yes sure.", the lady laughed. "And I'm his girlfriend, Sophia Summer. You can call and ask him."  " I'm sorry Ms Summer, but Mr Filan wanted to be alone, no phone calls." "Sophia?" I turned me around. "Shane!" We hugged us. "Oh Sophia, what are you doing here? How are your parents?" "My parents are ok. I missed you so much. I couldn't wait longer." He kissed me softly. "Let's go up in my room." The lady at the reception looked at us with an opened mouth.

In his room we kissed us passionately. "I've missed you so much Shane." "I've missed you too baby." We removed our clothes and went straight to the bed.
A while later I layed in Shanes arms. "Shane?" "Yes?" "The last seven weeks were the most horrible weeks in my life. Not only the situation with my parents, I cannot be without you.  Not longer than a few days. You're my life." "I cannot live without you too Sophia. I was thinking of you every second. It wasn't easy on stage to perform with 100%. Every line I sung for you. Especially "Flying without wings", "My Love", "Queen of my heart", and "You raise me up"." "I don't want to be apart from you for such a long time again." " You will not. The tour ends in June. Then we can spend every day and every second of our lifes together. This I promise you."
I was back now and also Nicky, Kian and Mark were happy about it. The next weeks were so wonderful. Then the day was there. The 23rd of June 2012, the very last Westlife concert. My brother was there with July. Our parents went well and we could enjoy our lives. I was backstage with the lads before the show started. "Good luck guys. I'll miss it. Enjoy the last show." I hugged Nicky, Kian and Mark. "Have fun Shane. Tomorrow our new life together will start. But I'll miss this life." "Me too Sophia, but you're my life now. I love you so much baby." We kissed us passionately, then the four went up on stage. It was very emotional from the beginning. Then the last part and speeches begun. Shane was the last after Kian, Nicky and Mark. "Dublin, I cannot believe that the night is nearly over. I wanna thank my parents, brothers and sisters, Louis Walsh and the whole team. I wanna thank this three lads I love so much and all you guys who made our dreams come true. But folks there is one person in my life since a few month who is very special for me. She is the love of my life. Sophia please come up on stage to me.", he cried tears of joy. "Oh my god.", I thought. "Ireland she is the love of my life. I cannot imagine to life without her. She gave me so much the last time. So I want to ask her in front of you all." He took my hand and kneeled down. "Sophia, you're the love of my life. I love you so much and thank god that we've found us. You said that you cannot be without me and I cannot be without you. Sophia will you marry me?" I cried. The crowd screamed. I heard some "Awwwws" and also some "Booohs." We ignored it. He took a little box with a beautiful ring. "Yes Shane. Yes I will." He put the ring on m finger and we kissed us and forgot the time and were we stood. The lads came up to us. "Give it up for Shane and Sophia.", Nicky screamed. The crowed gave a big applause.  The lads congratulated us. I stayed up on stage while they sung "You raise me up."
I was in front of the stage with Jodi, Georgina, Patrick, Steven and July when they sung their last two songs. The lads cried and we cried all at this emotional night. But I always remember Kians words. "One journey ends and a another one begins". For me and Shane begun a journey in a new life. 9 month after the last concert I gave birth to our baby girl and we married in summer 2013.
