*Sam's POV*
It's been a few hours since Zoe left. She text saying she got home safely and that we have a doctors appointment to go to next week. I can't believe I'm going to be a dad. Honestly it's insane, in 9 months me and Zoe are gong to have a baby to look after. I can't even imagine how scared she is, I mean I'm terrified and I'm not the one who's carrying it. But I know everything will work out. It has too.
A click of the front door snaps me out of my day dream. Who's here? I don't remember inviting anyone.
"Hey honey" the warm familiar voice of my mom says. What is she doing here? She's not meant to be back till tomorrow. She appears into the living room giving me a loving smile "you okay?"
"Uh yeah. What are you doing here mom?" I ask her.
"Nice to see you too Sam" She chuckles. I roll my eyes at her.
"You know what I meant".
"Well I finished all my meetings early" she tells me while putting all here bags down and taking her shoes off. "So since there was so work left to do, I thought I would come home early" my mom sits next to me on the sofa. I half smile at her. "Didn't throw any parties while I was gone did you?" She jokes.
"No mom, I didn't" I mumble.
"How's Zoe doing? Her mother told me she hasn't been feeling very well." Shit, Zoe. I haven't even thought of how I'll tell my mom about Zoe's pregnancy. How is she going to take the news that her only child is going to become a father at 17. She's going to kill me. Not for the fact that I'm going to be a dad, but for the fact that I got my innocent teenage girlfriend pregnant. My knees start to twitch slightly as a nervous reflex. My mom notices and puts her hand on it gently. "Sam?" I snap my neck to her direction. "Hunny, is she okay? What's wrong?" I take a deep breath and turn to face her direction, ready to tell me mother the same news Zoe told me in this exact spot only 24 hours earlier.
"Mom, I'm gong to tell you something, okay? And I need you to not freak out about it" I slowly tell her.
"Of course Sam. What is it? Your scaring me". She says sounding quite nervous. Here goes nothing.
"Zoe s-she's, um s-she is....." Well done Sam. When did you start stuttering, buddy? . "God how do I say this?" I whisper to myself. My mom just stares at me, here eyes demanding an answer. I clear my throat and sit up straighter and just blurt it out. "Mom, Zoe's pregnant" I quickly close my eyes awaiting either a swinging hand to my cheek or the screeching voice of my mother. But neither came. I slowly open my eyes and see her sadden eyes glistening with tears.
"S-she's what?" She's asks shocked and disappointed.
"Zoe's pregnant. She's having my baby" her eyes widen suddenly. Uh oh.
"Oh my god Sam. Wha- how did this happen? How can you be so stupid. She's 17, your both 17. You can't have a baby at your age" she rants. Standing up and pacing the room. Wow I have a strange feeling of deja vu right now. "How can you be so stupid Sam!" She shouts.
