*Zoes POV* I only have a few days left till I'm due. By all means I've loved being pregnant but I can't wait for this to be over. The constant needing to pee and having the weirdest cravings is starting to be a little irritating. I hear door steps walk into my room.
"you okay sweet heart?" Sam asks.
"Yeah I'm fine" he sits on the bed next to me.
"Have you felt any pains yet?"
"No, not yet. This baby is taking it's sweet time to get here." I laugh. " I just want this baby to be out, I don't think I can stand being pregnant anymore." I start to cry.
"Hey, it's okay sweet heart" he rubs my arm.
"Your almost done love. Only a few more days left to go."
"I know. But I don't know how much longer I can wait, it's killing me". Sam wipes my tears with his hands and comforts me till I feel better.
"Hey I have an idea" he suggests "let's go for a walk. I remember the last time we talked to our midwife she said that walking normally gets things moving. How about it?" He asks.
"Uuhhh fine. Only because I'm that desperate." I moan. Sam puts his hand out and I take it pulling me to stand up. We walk out the door.
*Sams POV* You know I'm so proud of Zoe. She's been through so much in her life and overcame it and I love her so much for that. So I thought I'd ask Maddy and Megan to set up a little baby shower for her to make her feel a little better, oh and I called a some people for a few extra surprises. That's why I asked Zoe to go on a walk so I can distract her, and for practical reasons too I know how badly she wants this baby to be out.
*Zoes POV* We walk out the door and set off down the street towards the park. Well by walking I mean waddling. I take in the beautiful scenery around me breathing in a breathe of fresh air. I know I've had 9 months so comprehend with the fact I'm going to be a mom but it seriously seems like a dream. Sam notices my daydream and squeezes my hand to knock me out of it. I see a bench in the distance and Sam leads me to sit onto it.
"What you thinking about." He asks me.
"Everything, I guess" I pause "I just can't believe our son will be born soon"
"I know, it's happened so fast." He starts rubbing circles in my back. He notices my eyes starting to water.
" I guess I'm just scared, not scared..... terrified, about when he comes and how all that's going to happen". I wipe my eyes to hide my tears.
"Oh sweet heart I told you everything's going to be Okay. Your going to do so good, I'm not going to say it won't hurt cause you know it will, but I'll be there for you every step of the way, I'm not going to leave your side." He huffs "god, if only I could do this for you my love." He cups my head with his hand.
"I know Sam, I know" he kisses my lips and them my cheek to look back up at me again. He smiles wide at me. "So, do you wanna head home then?" He asks.
"Yeah" I hold his arm and stand up and walk back. We get at the front door and Sam stops. "What are you doing?" I ask him.
"I'm trying to be a gentleman and open the door for my Wife to be."
I giggle and let him open the door. He enters and I slowly follow behind him. Instead of seeing the normal furniture in my living room I see blue ribbon strung across the walls and chairs. With a sign saying 'mommy to be' displayed on the table which had cute little cupcakes on it. It was simple yet very adorable. Did they really throw a baby shower for me? "Did you do all this?" I ask Maddy and Megan
"We set it up, but it was all Sams idea" Megan says.
I turn to look at him. "Really another surprise Sam"
"Hey, you can never have to many surprises, my love get use to it" he smiles at me.
"Thank you"
"No problem" he kisses me.
"Now let's get this shower started" Maddy said gesturing me to sit on the sofa.
"Wait, I have one more surprise" Sam says.
"What?" I turn to look at him. Then suddenly I heard a knock on the door. I stood up and headed towards the door but Sam opens it before I could get there. I was shocked to who was on the other side. "Mom?" I say shocked.
"Zoe, sweet heart." She walks towards me and hugs me tightly.
"When did you come home?" I ask her.
"I only landed a few hours ago, Sam called me and I decided to come home since I know your due any day now, I didn't want to miss it."
"Oh mom, I'm so happy Your here" I cry and hug her tightly again. I take a break for a moment looking at Sam giggling at him. "I don't know how you do it Sam I really don't."
"It's a talent". He replies. "Well I'm going to go to Luke's house and let you ladies get on with it."
"Bye" we all say and he walks out the door.
"Since I missed your birthday I brought a little something with me" my mom pulls out something out her purse.
"Oh mom, you didn't have to"
"Zoe, I wanted too" she gives me a small box and I opened it. Inside is a chain bracket with little golden flower charms hanging off of it.
"Mom, it's beautiful. Where did you get it?"
"Well, your farther bought it when you was born. He decided that it would be best to give it to you when you were engaged so you can wear it on your wedding day."
"Really? I love it. Thank you" I start to cry...again.
"He was so excited to give it to you. I know he would've been so happy for you and Sam." She says while she rubs my arm.
"Yeah". While we were having this conversation Megan and Maddy got us all of us a glass of orange juice and handed them to us.
"Let's toast to the mother to be. We couldn't be more excited." Maddy says while holding her glass in the air.
