*Zoes POV*
35 weeks pregnant.
I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. I only have 5 weeks left, but somehow I feel as if I'm not prepared yet. I got out of bed and but my over sized t-shirt and plain leggings and went down stairs. Sam greeted me with a kiss as i got into the living room. He put his hand on my big pregnant belly. "I can't believe we only have a few weeks left." He says.

"I know right. But I feels like we are not prepared enough." I say. He kisses me in the cheek for reassurance. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain spreading all over my stomach. "Ow!" I say while grabbing my belly.

"Are you ok Zoe?" Sam asks, "is the baby kicking?"

"No , this feels different. It hurts really bad" I say as another wave of pain hits my stomach again, tears start to run down my face. Is the baby coming? Sam had a very nervous look on his face,  he rushed over to me, Sam held my waist and took me to the car. "I'm taking you to the hospital, this isn't right." He says.

"Ok" I reply. The pain kept getting worse and worse. "AHHRRG!" I moaned. Sam grabbed my hand and squeezed it. "What if I'm in labour, he can't come now he's not ready." I say crying.

"It's okay. Everything is going to be just fine" he says reassuringly. We got to the hospital and Sam took my hand and walked me in. "Help!" Sam shouted, "my girlfriends pregnant and in pain". Suddenly a few midwifes. Came to my side taking us to a room. A few hours later I lm sit in bed with IVs attached to my arm. I was still feeling pain, but it wasn't as bad as it was. Sam stood by my side, holding my hand tight stroking it with his finger.
Sharp knocks on the door woke me up from my trance.

"Hi Zoe, we have your test results back." The nurse explained, " those pains you are experiencing are Braxton hics contractions"
I sighed with relief knowing that my baby is ok.

"What is that?" Sam asks the nurse.

"Basically Braxton hics are like practice contractions. They prepare the baby and mom for labour." She says.

"Oh thank god" Sam says with relief. "Thank you."
The nurse left.

A few hours later we got home.
"Now you need to go up to bed and relax."  Sam says to me.

"I've been been in bed all day though." I moan

"I don't care, up to bed now I need to make sure that you and our son are safe, okay?"

"Fine" I reply. I go up to bed and lay down and fell asleep straight away.
