*Zoes POV* 39 weeks pregnant. Only 1 week till I'm due. So much has happened this past month than my whole pregnancy. And I'll do it all over again in a heart beat. However nothing has really Happened today, it's been strangely quiet. Sam has been in and out the house all day and I don't know why. Oh I forgot to mention it's my 18th birthday today. Sam brought me breakfast in bed and gave me a beautiful bunch of pink roses. But that's it, not that I'm expecting much but I've barely seen him since. Suddenly he walks out of the spare room.
"Long time no see stranger" I mock him.
"Very funny" he replies "I think you should go out. Buy some stuff, go for a walk. Something." He insists
"Why? Don't you think it's a bad idea that a 39 week pregnant woman should go out by them selves."
"Your Right that is a bad idea" he laughs awkwardly "I'm just getting stuff done and I think you should, you know...keep busy."
"Right, okay. I'm not interested in going out today. So I'll just stay out your way."
"Good" he laughs.
Sam goes back into the spare room to do whatever he's doing and I sit back down on the bed. After I get comfortable I hear the ring tone of my phone go off "Uuhgg great" I groan and get back up. The phone read 'Maddy'. I picked up. "Hey Maddy". "Happy birthday Zoe!!!"
"Thank you Madds".
"Soo... do you wanna go out and celebrate to that cute cafe in town for lunch?" She asks
"Umm... I don't know Maddy I'm feeling kinda off today."
"Oh come on Zoe, you only turn 18 once. It'll be good to get some fresh air for a few hours and have some fun" I thought about it for a second and realised that Sam wants me out anyway so I agree.
"Okay okay. I'll meet you in 30 minutes"
"Can't wait! See u soon girl".
"Bye" I hang up and quickly get my coat on.
"Sam!" I shout to get his attention.
"Yeah, you okay?"
"I've decided to go out with Maddy for a few hours. I'll see you in a bit." I shout.
"Great, perfect actually." He shouts back.
I laugh. "Whatever". I walk down the stairs and get into the car and drive 15 minutes down the road till I got to the cafe. I walk inside and see Maddy sitting in the corner.
"Hey girl" she says while hugging me. "Hey Madds"
We sit down. "How are you Zoe?" she asks
"Good actually. It's really strange to be turning 18 while being 9 months pregnant and engaged."
"Ha Well it's a crazy life" we both laugh. "I've already ordered a hot chocolate and a sandwich for you and some for me too".
