Preface

They say happiness can be found even in the darkest of times when someone remembers to turn on the light. But even when the light is on, there is always that one dark corner of the room where no light can reach it. No light, no happiness, nothing but the darkness and the evil that resides there.

She never escaped that corner.

When evil befell her family many years ago, she lost all hope she could ever feel for anything. She became one with the bullies; the students of Slytherin House, to be exact. It was the one place she felt she could actually be accepted. She took her anger and the cold darkness of her heart out on those she was told were beneath her. Her posse was stronger than it had ever been and even though she was the youngest, she was the worst. But to them, it was the good kind of worst. This girl was on top of the world, at her peak, ruling them all with great power...

Until she was knocked from her peak into the arms of her family's bitter enemy...and something inside her changed.

In life, we struggle and fight for what we want. We plead, we beg, and when we are denied, we rebel. Whether it's acceptance, help, or even love, we are denied. They apparently don't matter, and we eventually give up.

But that's not what she did.

When this girl was denied everything in her life, she never gave up. She fought back hard; killing her demons, destroying her enemies, embracing her strength. But she did not do it alone. She had a little help, and all it took was betraying her entire Slytherin House.

Her name was Daniella Mae Tyler, but most know her as Danni.

This is her story.
