"We don't wanna be like them, we can make it til the end..."

Danni watched intently as Harry finished writing out the list of Polyjuice Potion ingredients on his parchment. Her book was open next to him, his eyes skimming over the pages and flickering back and forth between his notes and hers to make sure he had everything written exactly how it should be. She could not help but smile at him.
"I admire how thorough you're being with this assignment," said Danni. "I will admit I was skeptical of your commitment, given your academic track record."
"Maybe I just want to trick you into thinking I'm paying attention," Harry replied playfully, his lips curled upwards in a smirk that almost mirrored the ones Danni had given him on more than one occasion.
"Oh, is that right?" she said. She leaned over and snatched up the Potions book, snapping it shut in one swift movement. "Well I guess you won't be needing this then."
"Hey, hold on!" Harry exclaimed. "I wasn't done yet! Give it back!"
"Shouldn't you have your own book anyway?"
"That's not the point! I'm using that one!"
"Aww, is it because it's my book?" she laughed, batting her eyelashes.
"Oh, you are so in for it, Tyler!"
Harry climbed over his assortment of notes in an attempt to reach the book. Danni moved a few inches backward into a game of keep-away, waving the book back and forth in her hand. Harry laughed and tried to move with her, mimicking her movements. He stretched his arm out for a final time before slipping on one of the blankets that had become tangled around his foot. His arms wrapped around Danni's waist and the two of them fell onto the pile of pillows on the ground, cushioning the impact. Harry was now laying beside Danni on his stomach, his arm draped over her body in defeat with his hand resting on her waist. Their laughs rang harmoniously through the room.
"That was so not fair, you booby trapped the floor with your blankets," said Harry breathlessly.
Harry rolled over onto his side to face Danni. The tip of his nose brushed ever so slightly against hers. A giggle escaped Danni's mouth while she attempted to catch her breath, her pupils reflecting in Harry's glasses. She stared at him, not wanting to lose the moment between them. The grip of Harry's hand on the skin of her waist tightened slightly as she moved closer towards him. She brushed a strand of his black hair out of the way, revealing the lightning bolt scar on his forehead.
"It doesn't bother you, does it?" Harry asked.
"What, that?" Danni replied. She traced her thumb along the outline of his scar, rubbing away a small bead of sweat with it. "No, not in the slightest."
Harry's breathing hitched for a second. He had never let anyone feel his scar like that before.
"Most people see it as a target," he said. "They see it as a threat, and they become afraid of me and what possible danger I can bring."
"That's their problem," Danni said, "not yours. And that doesn't matter to me. None of that matters to me." She reached her hand up towards his glasses. "May I? Just for a second."
Harry hesitated, unsure of what she was trying to prove, but then nodded slowly. Danni took the end of his glasses in her hand and carefully pulled them off his face.
