"Tired of feelin' like I'm trapped in my damn mind, tired of feelin' like I'm wrapped in a damn lie..."

------

Danni stomped down the long corridor with her hands shoved deep into the pockets of her jacket, the hoodie thrown over her head. Little First Year kids had their spell books tucked up against their scrawny chests, bowing their heads with their backs up against the wall as she passed them, shooting sharp glares and malicious smiles in their direction.

They were all afraid of her, terrified really. They clung to their books like a little girl clutches her precious teddy bear. She laughed at their scared faces constantly.

Like any Slytherin in Hogwarts School, the pain of others was their joy. It was their sworn duty to cause trouble and havoc, and they would always have someone to pin the blame on. They always called it Pin the Blame on the Newbies.

Danni looked up for a moment and spotted a group of First Year Hufflepuff girls near the end of the corridor. Finally, someone decided to toss some chum into her ocean.

She quickened her pace a bit and was just on the verge of reaching them when she felt something hard slam into her side, causing her to do a full one-eighty. Her legs went into a massive quickstep and she was forced to steady herself on the wall.

Danni snapped her head up, face flaming red and eyes burning with anger, to find herself face to face with the one who bumped her.

The deep green eyes, the short midnight black hair, the ridiculously dorky full moon spectacles, the stupid yet somehow legendary scar on his head...

"OI!" she yelled at him angrily. "You better what where you're going, Potter! You almost knocked me over!"

None other than her sworn enemy, Harry fucking Potter.

Well, more like her parents' enemy really.

Apparently there was some lame feud or something going on between her family and his. Her parents never really cared to elaborate on what exactly had caused it, but for the record, she didn't give two shits about it. She didn't have to be involved in a family feud in order to hate Potter. There was no need. She already hated him.

Him and his stupid stuck-up parents, thinking he's some kind of chosen child just because he happened to survive a horrible curse. (A/N yes in this version Harry's parents are alive and well)

"Oh shut up, Tyler!" Potter spat back, glaring at Danni. "I didn't do anything to you. You bumped into me!"

"I did not!" she yelled, her face broiling with fury. "Maybe you should get yourself some new glasses, Mr. Chosen One!"

"Grow up, Tyler!" he yelled with a roll of his eyes. "You think you're so cool! You think you own this school when you really don't! You're no better than the rest of us!"

Fuck...you!

"Why are we even having this conversation?" she shouted. "Beat it, Potter! You're such a jerk!"

"Fine!" he said with a snarl. He stomped off, his arm lightly brushing against hers as he walked off in the opposite direction.

Danni leaned against the wall with her arms folded across her chest and watched him stomp away, his hands shoved into the pockets of his dark blue jeans, his head bowed low. For a moment, he stopped and looked back and caught her watching him.

"What the bloody hell are you staring at?" he asked angrily. "You looking for an apology? If you are, you sure as hell won't get one considering I did absolutely nothing wrong."

"NO!" she shouted quickly in reply. "You're just blocking my view down the hallway!" she quickly turned on her heel and walked away, not even bothering to steal a glance over her shoulder at the stupid face of confusion she was sure he was making.

Shit, the Hufflepuff girls left.

Harry walked casually down the corridor with his nose buried in assortments if parchment written by Hermione about the Potions homework she knew he was struggling with.

"Geez, Hermione," he muttered to himself as he shuffled through the notes. "I'll get to it. What are you, my mother?"

Harry slipped the notes back into his pocket and looked around to notice many First Year girls staring and pointing at him, their eyes sparkling with admiration. All he could do was sigh with annoyance and roll his eyes. Just because he was a Killing Curse survivor did not mean he needed special attention or admiration. His parents almost died; that's not something to be proud of.

Harry looked down to retrieve a note that had missed his poker but as he stood back up, he felt something ram into his arm, causing him to stumble and trip forward. For a moment, he caught a flash of black fabric spinning in a practical one-eighty as he tried to steady himself.

Harry looked up and met the person's eyes; the girl's eyes. They were a bright spring green. A strand of her long blonde hair fell over one of her cheeks, which were glowing a fiery red. His first thought was some other fangirl "accidentally" running into him, but that thought was immediately put to rest when she started to shout at him.

"OI!" she yelled angrily. "You better watch where you're going, Potter! You almost knocked me over!"

Oh, great, he thought with an annoyed tone. I would've preferred the fangirl over THIS girl!

Daniella Tyler; leader of Slytherin's bully squad. She was always hanging around with Malfoy and his people. She was hardcore dark and so was her family, according to Harry's parents.

His parents always talked about how the Tylers were vile, cruel people. Very rarely, however, did they ever explain why. Normally he wouldn't care, but something about it still intrigued him.

Either way, he was raised to hate them and apparently, she was raised to hate him.

"Oh shut up, Tyler!" he spat back at her. "I didn't do anything. You bumped into me."

"I did not!" she yelled, her face growing redder with every word. "Maybe you should get yourself some new glasses, Mr. Chosen One!"

Really? he thought angrily. She's gonna play the "Chosen One" card? I'm ending this now!

"Grow up, Tyler!" he said, rolling his eyes at her comment. "You think you're so cool! You think you own this school when you really don't! You're no better than the rest of us!"

She was quiet for a second before she spoke again, probably screaming some obscenity in her head.

"Why are we even having this conversation?" she yelled. "Beat it, Potter! You're such a jerk!"

"Fine!" he growled through his teeth, lightly brushing past her as he walked away in the opposite direction.

Harry shoved his hands into his jean pockets and bowed his head, his throat aching from their screaming match. Hoping she was already gone, he turned around only to find that she was leaning against the wall staring at him with her green eyes.

"What the bloody hell are you staring at?" he asked suddenly. "You looking for an apology? If you are, you sure as hell won't get one considering I did absolutely nothing wrong."

She suddenly appeared flustered for him to have caught her staring. She spoke rather quickly and said, "NO! You're just blocking my view down the hallway!" And with that, she turned sharply on her heel and took off speed walking down the remainder of the corridor.

Harry stared after her with an expression he was sure looked completely stupid. All he could think was What? The hallway? Was she being serious?

With a sigh, Harry made his way to the library, his mind still reeling about the confrontation with Danni.
