I woke up to a blinding light. A nurse and my grandma is standing next to my bed. "Thank goodness! Are you feeling fine?" My grandma asks worriedly. "Mhm." I can still taste blood. "I'll leave you two, you can call me with the button over there, next to you. You'll be discharged in a couple of hours." The nurse stood up to leave.
"How long was I out?" I ask groggily. "Only for a day. What happened? Someone found you on the road bleeding." She looks so worried. I can hear the fast beating of my heart, telling me to remember. "I just hit my head on something, I forgot." I lied. "How hard did you even hit yourself?"
"Pretty hard." I lied again. "Ma, I just want to rest."
"Okay." She says. I remember that hospitals here charge unworldly amounts of money. It's a miracle that I only lasted here for a day, but I know that it'll still cost a lot.
