The Next Day...
The next day was my day off, so I decided to check up on the Vks today. I just want to see how they're doing in Auradon so far. Even though I remembered that I have cheerleading practice with Audrey today, that doesn't mean that I can still see what the Vks are up to today. I put on my yellow cheerleading shirt, my blue cheerleading skirt, my white sneakers with blue laces, and my hair was up in a bun for today. After getting dress, I left my dorm and went downstairs to go eat some breakfast.
In The Cafeteria
While at breakfast, I saw Jane coming at me like if she was in a rush. She was in the same outfit I saw her wear the day I met her. Once she got to my table, she said "Hey Genesis, I need your help before you go to cheerleading practice today. I have my early permission slip for the coronation next week, and I need you to come with me to see mom so she can sign it for me." I looked at Jane in a confusing way. "Why do you need me to go with you to see your mom when it only involves you?", I asked. "Because she is teaching the new Vks "Remedial Goodness" today, and I'm scared to walk pass them. Please come with! Please?!", said Jane who now looked scared at me. I couldn't help but laugh and smile at her, she was just so adorable. "Ok Jane, I will. But you need to relax. Everything will be fine, I promise. I have a way to make the Vks feel more welcomed in Auradon.", I said. Jane then smiled at me and said "Thank you" to me while hugging me so tight. Which made it possible for me to breathe a bit. After breakfast, me and Jane went to remedial goodness class to see her mom, and to see the Vks.
In Remedial Goodness Class
As we walked into class, I heard Fairy Godmother teaching a lesson to the Vks. But it was only just the four of them in the class, no one else. "Wow, this class looks so quiet and... More empty?", I said to Jane in her ear. "I know, mom wanted to make a small class for them. You know, to keep them away from her bigger classes until they're ready.", said Jane. As we were walking pass the Vks, I saw that all of them looked so tired and bored by the lesson. Carlos was busy talking to Jay in a quiet voice, Evie was looking at herself in her little tiny mirror, and Mal must have been writing down notes; maybe one Vk really wants to learn. "Hello ladies, what brings you two here today?", said Fairy Godmother as she stopped the lesson and smiled at me and Jane. "Hi, I need you to sign my early dismissal form for the coronation.", said Jane as she handed her mom the form. As Fairy Godmother was reading the form, I saw the Vks looking at me. Even though they were still in class, I heard Mal talking into Evie's ear. I didn't know if she was talking about me, or something about the lesson. Fairy Godmother then said "Everyone here, this is my daughter, Jane, and her dear friend, Genesis Ralda." I heard Jane saying "no mom" in a quiet voice. I then said "Thank you, Fairy Godmother. But we all already met yesterday, but it's nice to see you all again." As I was talking to the Vks, they all just stayed quiet and didn't reply back to me. I saw that they looked tried. They looked like if they were up all night, running a marathon or something. After Fairy Godmother gave Jane back the form, Jane looked at all the Vks nervously. "That's ok, don't mind me as you were.", she said as she bowed for no reason. "Well, thank you for your time, Fairy Godmother. But we have to go now.", I said while Jane was hiding behind me. "Your welcome, girls. Have a nice day.", said the Fairy Godmother. As I was passing through the Vks again, Jane started running a bit. I knew that she wanted to get out of here. Once we left the classroom, I said to Jane "Look, I know that you're nervous at sometimes. But you don't need to get worried all the time, Jane. Now look, I have cheerleading practice in twenty minutes, so I'll see you later. And next time, try not to cry when you get so shy." "Ok, I'll try. See you later, Genesis.", said Jane as I saw her walking away. After she left, I headed straight to the tourney field and got myself ready for practice.
Out At The Tourney Field
Once I got outside, I ran straight across the hot field to meet up with Audrey and the other cheerleaders. The field was so big, you can run a marathon across to the other side of the field. It had so many bleachers for games, tourney nets, and a frisbee shooter that they use to make the game harder. The way how tourney works is that there are eight players on the team. Each player has on a helmet for protection, a shield to block their bodies, and a wooden stick bat to hit the ball. In order to play the game, you have to hit the ball into the net before the other players get it into their net. While running across the field, you have to watch out for the person who is shooting frisbees at you, which is also called "The Kill Zone". And the team with the most points, wins. To me, tourney sounded a lot more like soccer and lacrosse mixed together. As Audrey was giving us all are stretching routine before we began, the coach of the tourney team, Coach Jankins, came out with the tourney players. I forgot today was tryouts for tourney today, and I was curious to see who was trying out today. As I saw many of boys coming out, I saw two different people coming out and walking on the field. It was Carlos and Jay. I didn't know they wanted to tryout for the game. "Wow, looks like we got new players trying out today.", I said. "Alright, Taylor! Your on offense! Chad, your on defense! Hey! Hey you! Podge boy! What are you doing?! Go, get your helmet on and get out of the kill zone!", yelled Coach Jankins as he yelled at Carlos and blew his whistle. The players were finally off. I watched all of the players running across the field, except many of them were being tackled by Jay. I felt like he just came out here just to hurt people. But I was wrong, Jay was actually going for the ball and was making a lot of flips and turns. He even made it pass threw the kill zone by making a lot of back flips. As I heard the cheerleaders cheering behind me so loud, I decided to do the same thing. Except for Audrey, who wasn't impressed. "Go Jay! Your the man! Woo!", I said as I did one back flip. As I saw Jay running close to the net, I saw him accidentally knocking down Carlos and made a score. The cheerleaders were going wild, and so was I. "He's so brilliant!", I said while clapping. As I saw him cheering for himself in celebration, Coach Jankins blew his whistle and yelled at Jay. "You get over here!", the coach yelled. When Jay was running to the coach, I did as well. I wanted to make if he wasn't in trouble, but all I heard the coach say was "I call that raw talent. Come find me later, I'll show you something you've never seen before, it's called a rule book. Welcome to the team, son." I ran back to the cheerleaders before they even noticed I was gone. I was so happy that Jay made the team, but what happened to Carlos? As I was thinking about it threw the rest of practice, Audrey told us all practice was over and that we can leave. I went to the girls locker room to get change, and thought to myself "Wow, looks like we have a Vk that wants to play sports."
Five Minutes Later...
After getting un dress in the girls locker room, I put on one of my sweaters I got from home, a pair of jeans, and I just kept my sneakers on. I finally took out the bun in my hair and made it into a brad. Once I got out of the locker room, I saw Chad and Audrey outside waiting for me so we can all walk to class together. Even though it was my day off today, I still had to go to chemistry so I could catch up on today's lesson. "Hey, you ready?", said Audrey as she put on her sunglasses. "Sure, let's go.", I said as all three of us walked together. As we were walking, I saw Chad putting his hand on his shoulder. He looked like he was in a lot of pain. "Hey Chad, are you ok?", I asked him. "No! During tourney practice, that Vk knock me down to the ground, making me sprain my shoulder.", he said as he was also saying "ow" in a low voice. "I don't know why, but those new kids feel like they can't be trusted.", said Audrey which made only Chad laugh except me.
At The Lockers
After a three minute walking to the lockers, all three of us bumped into Ben. I said "hi" to him and gave him a hug. "Those kids are trouble.", said Chad who was pointing at Mal. She was at her locker saying "bye" to Evie. When I saw Evie leave, I saw the graffiti on Mal's locker. It had a picture of her mother surrounded by purple and green fire, and it said "Long Live Evil!" in the middle of the graffiti. "Come on, Chad. Give them a chance.", said Ben as he was looking at Mal and went back to looking at all three of us. I let out a smile and agreed with him. But Audrey gave a slight laugh and said "No offense, Benny Bear. You're just too trustworthy. I know that your mom fell in love with a big nasty beast who turned to be a prince. But with my mom, the evil fairy was just the evil fairy. That girl's mother." As all of us were listening to what Audrey had to say, I wasn't paying attention. I was busy looking at Mal, who was taking books out of her locker. "I think your wrong about them. Oh! And Genesis, one more thing. I'm teaching a tourney player to run really fast after school. Do you want to help?", said Ben. "Sure! I can help.", I said. "Great! I'll see you later. And I'll see you guys later.", said Ben as he fist pump Chad, gave Audrey a hug, and kissed me on the head "bye". "Well I need to head out too. I'll see you two later.", said Audrey as she waved "bye" and walked away with a few of her friends. Me and Chad were walking to our chemistry class, where I saw Jim walking by with a few of his friends. "Hey Genesis.", he said. "Hi Jim.", I said as I passed by him. Chad was looking at me with a weird face and said "So, who's your new friend over there?" I pushed him a bit after he made fun of me when he saw me say "hi" to Jim.
In Chemistry Class
Once we got to chemistry, we both took our seats. Chad sat across from me so he can see the board, and I took my seat next to Doug. And surprisingly, next to Evie too. "I didn't know you were in my class.", I said to Evie as she was fixing her hair quickly. "Yeah, but don't worry. It's not like I'm going to cheat off you. Or am I?", she said to me which made me laugh. When our teacher, Mr. Dealer, came in, he said "Hello everyone! Sorry I'm late. Now, everyone take out you textbooks and answer questions 1-5 in chapter 5." As everyone was doing the lesson, I saw that Evie was looking at Chad. But in a happy way. She said quietly to me and Doug "Any chance he's in line for a throne? Anywhere in line?" I looked at Evie as I still saw her eyes on Chad. "Chad, Chad Charming jr. Cinderella's son. Yeah, Chad and her did a charm. But not a lot of "there and there". You get what I mean?", said Doug as he told Evie and looked at Chad. "Looks like there, there to me.", said Evie as I looked at her. I even looked at Chad, who was looking up the ceiling and not doing his work. As all three of us were now distracted, Mr. Dealer came up and said "Evie! Perhaps this is all new to you. Tell me, what is the average atomic weight of silver?" I saw that Evie's face went down, because I knew she didn't know the answer. And neither did I. "Atomic weight? Well, I mean not much. I mean it's an atom, right?", she said as she made Chad laugh. But Mr. Dealer however, wasn't laughing. He asked Evie to come up to the board and write down the answer. Once Evie got up, I saw her pull something out of her purse. When she got up in front of the whole class, she was smiling. "Let's see, how do I find the average atomic weight of silver?", she said. And as she asked herself the question, she started to write a long answer on the board, even I couldn't understand it. Everyone in class was looking at her impressed, including the teacher. While she was going threw the answer, I saw that Chad was writing something down on an index card with his highlighter. She was going threw the question so fast, I opened my book to the chapter about it to see if she was right. Doug even did the math in his head to see if she was right too. "Which! Mr. Dealer, would give us, 107.9 amu.", said Evie as she finished the problem and I finally got down the answer. And surprisingly, she was correct. "My mistake, I would've always ever under estimated-", said Mr. Dealer as his sentence was cut off by Evie. "A villain? Don't make it again.", she said as she handed him back the chalk and walked back to her seat. But that was until Chad stopped her to give her an index card. She sat down and opened the card that said "Meet me under the bleachers at 3:00." I looked at Evie's face and saw that she was in love. "Wow, looks like a Vk really wants to focus more on her classes. Even the "royal pain", if she wants to." I said to myself while getting back to my work.
Out On The Tourney Field
It was already the afternoon, and I was back in my cheerleading outfit. Because I had to go out to the tourney field to help Ben train a tourney player for tomorrow's game. Once I went outside, I finally met up with Ben. "Hey, you made it! I'm so glad you're doing this.", he said to me. "It's no trouble. So, who's the player we need to help?", I asked Ben. He then said "Oh! Here he comes now." I looked to see who it was, and it was Carlos. No wonder why I'm helping him. "Sorry I'm late. I had to tie my shoe.", said Carlos who was looking at me and Ben. "Don't worry, it's no problem. We're about to start anyway.", I said to Carlos. He then said to me "Wow, it's really nice that you want to help me with tourney. No wonder why Auradon crowned you the princess." I blushed and said to Carlos "Hey, anything I can do for a fellow Vk." "Ok, so I think we should start with some sprints first. Now me and Genesis are going to stand on the other side of the field. And Carlos, when I start the stop watch, I'm going to say "go", and I want to see how fast you can run.", said Ben as he was explaining the rules to Carlos. As me and him moved to the other side of the field he then said "Ok Carlos, when I say "go", you run. Ok?" Carlos shook his head and was in a running position. As I was about to start the stop watch, Carlos was already running when Ben didn't even say "go". But he was screaming. He was running away from something that was chasing him. It was the campus mutt, Dude. Ben and I went ran after Carlos, because he was running so fast he was heading to the forest. Me and Ben shouted his name, until we found up a tree. I felt like I wanted to laugh, but I knew that it wasn't funny. "Ben! Genesis! Help me! This thing is a killer! He's going to chase me and rip out my throat. This is a vicious, rabid pack animal.", said Carlos as he was pointing at Dude when I picked him up. "Hey! Who told you that?", Ben asked Carlos. Carlos then said "My mother, she's a dog expert and dog yeller." "Not to admit it, but she's kinda crazy.", I said to Ben which made him and me laugh. I was holding up Dude and giving him kisses, as he did the same thing me too. Carlos then said to me "Why are you holding and kissing him?! He's going to attack you!" Ben then said to Carlos "Carlos, you've never must have really held a dog, haven't you?" "Of course not.", he replied. I then said "Dude, meet Carlos. Carlos, this is Dude. He's the campus mutt. It's ok, you can come down. He's not going to hurt you." "He doesn't look like a rabid pack animal. You're a good boy, aren't you?", said Carlos as I handed him Dude. Ben then said "I'm guessing you guys must've had it pretty rough on the isle." "Yeah, let's just say we don't get a lot of belly rubs.", said Carlos which made me smile. I was so proud of him when I saw him conquering his own fear. "Good boy. I mean! You! Your a good runner and- You know, we want to give you both some space. Whenever you're ready, come find us on the tourney field." I said to Carlos. He then said "Ok sure, see you both out there." Ben and I were walking away, but I turned around and saw that Dude was giving Carlos kisses on his face, which I thought was so cute. "Wow, looks like a Vk really wants to care for dogs more often.", I said to myself. I then looked at Ben and said "Ben, maybe your right. Maybe it is nice to have the Vks here. I see that they're all learning a lot." Ben then hugged me as we were heading back to the field. I then thought to myself "Maybe they're all not that bad. Well, kinda for Mal. But perhaps, there maybe something there that wasn't there before."
