As I left the bathroom, I went back to the table were my family was finishing their desserts. But mine was still there, un-eaten. When I sat back down next to my brother, I grabbed a fork that was next to my plate and started eating my dessert in a slowly yet still frightening way. My parents were talking in their ears, and I know that were talking about me. I tried my best to keep cool and not look suspicious. "Honey, me and your father have been worried about you. And we want to know if you're feeling alright.", said my mom who was looking at me as well as my dad. I then said, "I feel fine, mom. No need to worry about me. I think I just have a headache from walking all day." My dad then said to me "Are you sure? We were worried about you when you didn't come out of the bathroom." I was still eating my cake and trying to make up excuses so my parents can stop asking me if I'm fine. "I said I'm fine dad." I said while still trying not to look like I'm hiding something. My brother then spoke "Are you sure?" I felt like I wanted to scream. "I said I'm ok!", I said in a loud tone. There was a short silence at the table, I didn't mean to talk so loud. "Look I appreciate that you all want to know how I'm feeling, but like I said, I'm doing fine.", I said in a calm tone. My parents and brother then shook their heads and continued to finish their desserts. While I was still thinking about what has just happened to me. How was I supposed to keep my strange power a secret without having my family even noticing? What did that old lady meant by "they've been waiting for me"? And who is even coming to get me tonight? As I was trying to get my mind off of all of this craziness, my dad told me and my family it's time to go. I grabbed my purse and head out the door with my brother. I then thought to myself "Just relax, Genesis. Just try to enjoy the rest of your birthday without having anything weird happening to you." I then discovered that I needed to relax and get my mind off of everything that's just happened to me today. After a long day walking around, it was time to go home, and I was so tired after a long day of craziness. After a two hour drive back home, it was already around ten o'clock at night, and I was already tired after a long day. As I said "good night" to my family and thank them for a fun day today, I closed my bed room door, got in my pjs, and went straight into bed. I was still wondering on what that old lady told me today, what did she mean by "they're coming to get me tonight"? As I was still thinking, I fell straight asleep right away before I could get an answer.
Later At Midnight...
At twelve o'clock midnight, the wind was growing more and more louder. It sounded like a large wind storm outside that just kept growing louder and louder. I woke up when I heard the wind grow even more louder. Suddenly, I saw something sparkling at the corner of my door. It was some type of blue bright glitter that was getting larger and smaller by the minute. After the glitter was gone, I saw something moving in the dark. I felt like I wanted to call my parents, but it was coming close to my bed. It was a black hooded person that was in black robes. And since it was so dark, I couldn't see his face. I was so scared I felt like I wanted to scream for help. But then it finally spoke to me, and it didn't sound like a man. It sounded more like a teenage girl's voice. "Genesis, please don't be afraid. I'm not going to hurt you. I'm hear to talk to you. Let me just say that this is such an honor, really.", said the woman under the black robes. I was not afraid anymore, but I was still so confused on who she was. "I'm sorry, but who are you actually? If I may ask?", I asked the hooded woman in the dark. She finally took off her hoodie and revealed her face so I can see. She didn't look like a scary woman at all, instead she looked very pretty. She had dark brown short hair that kinda looked like just my hair color, dark brown eyes that looked like mine, a sweet soft voice that sounded very adorable, she also looked like if she was my age but older, and she looked more like if she was asian. As I turned on my table lamp right next to my bed so I can see her better, she walked up and sat down right next to me on my bed. She then said "Sorry if I scared you when I came in. It's just something I need to wear so know one can see who I am. Especially when I'm dealing with a lot of people in the night back at Auradon." As I heard what she said, I had no idea on what she was talking about. "Um, not to interrupt your story, but you still haven't still told me who you are.", I said in a polite way. "Oh sorry, my name is Lonnie. I'm the daughter of Mulan.", she said. I went completely silent, I knew who she was talking about. Mulan was one of my favorite Disney princesses and I loved her movie so much. "Well... Um... I... Um... My name is Genesis.", I said but in a funny surprising way. She then shook my hand and laughed at the way how I introduced myself. "Don't worry, I get nervous sometimes too. Even when it comes to me meeting a new princess.", she said as she was folding her hoodie. I then went quiet after what she said to me. "I'm sorry, but did you just called me a princess? Because I'm not a princess, I'm just a normal girl.", I said to Lonnie which made her laugh again. I didn't know what she meant by calling me a princess when I'm not even close to being one. "No Genesis, you may think you're normal but your not. You're actually a princess.", she said to me. There was a long silence in the room. I didn't talk nor said anything, my face went completely in shock. I then said "I'm...A...Princess?" Lonnie laughed again as she shook her head "yes". I felt like I wanted to scream with joy, but it was still night time. As I smiled with glee I then turned to Lonnie and said "How am I a princess if I wasn't born in a royal castle? And how do you know?" Lonnie then looked at me like if she was tired as well, but then she finally spoke. "It's a long story. It happened ten years ago when you were a baby. The kingdom of Auradon needed a princess to take over soon because so many new kingdoms were being made for other royals. So they were searching for the right little girl that would fit in. And one night after the day you were born, my headmistress, Fairy Godmother, found you, came to your house when you and your family were asleep, and granted you magical powers that would be given to you when you turn older. And now that you're older, you are now ready to come to Auradon and become a princess." I was still quiet after what Lonnie just told me. But if I'm a princess, why didn't my family ever told me? Didn't they saw anything that night when I was granted powers? Did they ever knew? All of this was really confusing to me, but I was still wondering what the heck is Auradon. "Hey Lonnie, what is Auradon anyway?, I asked. Lonnie then said, "It's a beautiful place where there are so many royals, sidekicks, kingdoms, and many nice people at my school. It's called Auradon Prep." As I was enjoying the image of Auradon, I had so many others questions to ask Lonnie. My number one question was "Are there bad people in Auradon?" Lonnie went quiet for a second and she looked like she didn't want to tell me. But she took a deep breath and finally spoke. "Well...Um.. You see, Genesis. We have this place in Auradon where all the bad people live, it's called the Isle of the Lost.", she said as she looked like she was hiding something from me. I was curious to know what the Isle of the Lost was. I then thought to myself "Maybe that's were Auradon keeps their prisoners." "Lonnie, what prisoners live on the Isle of the Lost?", I asked her. But Lonnie looked like she didn't want to tell me anything anymore. "Uh! You know what, Genesis? I think it's time we get going.", said Lonnie as she didn't want to answer my question. I then ignored asking her the question again. Because I knew that something was wrong, but I didn't bother to ask again. As Lonnie put back on her hoodie, I stopped her quickly. "Wait! What about my family? I can't leave them.", I said to Lonnie. She then smiled and said "You won't need to leave them nor tell them, I have the spell." Something magical then just happened. Lonnie took out a mini book she had with her, and she said some strange words I couldn't understand. "The magic of this princess is ours to watch for now. Instead of erasing their memories, make her family proud.", Lonnie said. And just like that, a glowing shade of yellow went into my parents and brother's room. "What did you-", I said to Lonnie while looking at what she did. "Don't worry, their memories weren't erased. They now know what you are and where you are going. Your not leaving them, your just going to a new school and coming back. Trust me, you'll be back before you know it.", she said as she put her book away. She put back on her hoodie and gave me a pair of black robes she brought with her. I put it on and I was ready to go. Even though I was so nervous about this. "So, you ready?", Lonnie asked while smiling. She then stuck her hand out to grab mine. I then grabbed her hand and said "Let's get this party started!" As we grabbed hands, we were about to leave. "Oh one more thing, it might be best if you didn't tell the headmistress that I took her spell book. I just needed it for this occasion.", said Lonnie. "Ok, your secret is safe with me.", I said. Lonnie then said another spell to get us to Auradon. "This non magical place we now say goodbye, now take us to Auradon prep, where we'll arrive at sunrise." And when she said the spell, a portal open at my door. It showed the outside to another world that had daylight. And there was even a limousine parked to take us to Auradon prep. I felt like I was going faint or be sick, but I was still happy that my wish came true. "Let's do this.", I said to Lonnie as the driver opened the door for us and drove off to Auradon prep.
