Unmatchable

Chapter Ten

I stare at Thomas in confusion. What did he want from Natalia? Thoughts ran through my mind as he and i walked down the hall.

Last night he had hacked the security cameras to show video replays from a different day. So here we are, sneaking down a hallway to get to Thomas's girlfriend's room (i dont even know her name).

Finally, we reach the room. Thomas knocks.

"What do you want?" A female voice asks frustratingly, she sounds to be around my age.

"It's Tom." He says. Theres a moment of silence. Then footsteps sound from inside the closed room. A lock is unbolted and the door flies open.

A girl stands in front of me. A beautiful girl.

"Tom!" she squeals. i could already tell that she was going to annoy the hell out of me...

"Lily, love." he smiles at her. then he pulls her into his arms and kisses her. Lily... Lilian. i miss her so much. It hasn't even been a week yet and i already miss her crazy.

Great. just great.

"Alright lovebirds," i pause and roll my eyes. "lets get out of here."
Lily looks confused.

"Out of here?" she asks. "Tom, who is she?"

I roll my eyes again.

"Thats Teresa. And babe, we're leaving the compound."

Lily grins. "Finally! I've been wanting to get out of here from day one."

That was pretty easy.

"Teresa you have to stay here." Thomas tells me. Him and Lily are about to go get whatever the thing is that Thomas wants to get from Natalia.

"But I wanna come!" I whine. Okay, it may not be the most mature and adult like way to handle the situation, but I'm on my last string here people!

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes!"

"NO!"

"Fine!! Geez."

We walk into a dim lit room, in the back, lights flicker. Probably a bulb that needs to be replaced. Its a large room. On the left there are about ten tall rows of files cabinets. On the right there are tables with odd tubes on them.

"Lily, you watch, if anyone comes by clear your throat."

"Got it." She says. I look at Thomas.

"Natalia trusts her." he says to me. "I on the other hand, she does not."

"Why doesn't she trust you?" I ask him.

"I'm about to find that out."

Thomas walks toward the second row of files. He reaches the 'B' section and starts digging through one of the drawers.

"Can you look through that one?" Thomas asks, pointing to the drawer on his left. "Look for Benjamin, Thomas."

"Sure." I immediately start sorting through the files, searching for what Thomas told me.

"I got it. Lets go."

We run towards the front of the room, and then down the hall. Lily guides us through the halls until we reach what looks to be, a garage door.

"Alright, once I open this door we'll have thirty seconds to get to the wall directly in front of us," Thomas explains. "Once we get to the wall we're gonna climb, I'll lift Lily, she'll pull you up, and you guys lift me."

"What happens if we take more than thirty seconds?"

"Natalia will be after us by then."

"I'll tell you what to do once we get over."

"Okay, lets do it." I say.

Thomas presses the button to open the door.
