They say at the far end of the block where no one goes, there's this house that seems to be unable to keep off the market for long. Once a family moved in something or someone seemed to drive them out. No one understood why but quite a few folks knew what was the problem. Some might say it's the house, others might say it's what happened inside the house. Most of the folks wouldn't even mention the house at all. The folks around the neighborhood was too scare to even be apart of the house. They didn't want anything or anyone else to get hurt.
The Fernandez family finally arrived at their new home. The home that everyone else feared. Gabby, their daughter came out the car and looked up at the house. "Ew, who died here?" She joked around. Tyler, their son grabbed his bag and headed inside. He called dibs on the first room he liked. Gabby rolled her eyes. "So I'm guessing I don't have a choice in picking my room either." She said. "You know dear this will be better, you will make new friends and get over where we used to live." Her father explained. She walked up the steps and went to see which room her siblings left her. She walked passed her siblings rooms and seen that the door to the attic was open. She imagined it to be just a regular old dusty attic until she walked up the stairs and noticed something she fell in love with right away.
There was this doll that was just sitting in the closet on the top shelf. She noticed that on the tag it said Isabella. Gabby felt as if she's been missing a part of her for a very long time and seem to had found what has been missing. Gabby and her siblings were called down for dinner. She had brought the doll with her, her sister asked, "What is that?" She looked at her and just smiled. "It's my new doll. I found it in my room. I think I'm actually going to like it here." Her parents looked at her, not knowing what she might be up to. She finished her dinner and washed the dishes.
Lights off. Kids in bed. The house all quiet. Gabby got on her knees and said her prayer. As she was saying her prayer she heard footsteps below her. She figured it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. She continued her prayer and got into bed. "Isabella." She called out for her doll. She thought she had put her on the chair. She felt someone looking at her from the distance. She quickly turned around and seen no one.
As she laid down she felt someone rubbing her feet. She slowly lifted her blanket, heart beating fast, felt as if it was going to jump out of her chest. "Isabella." She smiled. She grabbed her and brought her up to her pillow. "How did you get down there, huh?" She laid her on her pillow and turned off her light. She said her goodnights and drifted into a deep sleep. Little did Gabby know, what she found wasn't anything sweet. She was in for something big, something she wouldn't be able to handle on her own.
"Kids it's time for school." Mrs. Fernandez yelled. The kids started to get ready for their day. As Gabby got up and dress, she seen that Isabella was not in her bed again. She didn't feel like herself. Lazy, sleepy and sad. The three feelings that she just couldn't rub off. "Gabby, dear come down it's time to head to school." Her mom said. "I'll be down in a minute." Gabby snapped back. Her mother didn't understand what her attitude was all about. Gabby was never like this. Mrs. Fernandez figured since she moved it would be like this for a while until she got used to it.
A week later has passed and Gabby's behavior was out of control. Gabby was coming home late. Not eating, or if someone said something to her she would snap at them. There was even this one time that her youngest sister tried to play with the doll and Gabby yelled at her in this totally different voice. She ended up being sent to her room where she had rather be.
Her mother went up to her room and sat down by her. She had wonder why she was acting like this. Her mother asked, "Hun, what is going on? Why are you acting like this towards your family?" Gabby looked at her and just told her to get out. Her mother worried and upset, walking down the flight of stairs.
As she walks to the last flight of stairs, she feels a push on her back. Falling and hitting every step as she goes down. Her mother has fallen unconscious.
