Curiosity Killed the Cat (Original Script)

Part 2

Everyone is sitting at the dinner table eating.

    MARTHA - Ariana

    ARIANA - hmm?

    MARTHA - will you please pass the salt

Ariana grabs the salt and underhand throws it to Martha but misses and it lands in a bowl of flour covering Eden and Martha in flour. Ariana puts her hand over her mouth. Eden stands up and shakes her head covering the rest of the table in flour. Martha stands up angry.

    MARTHA- Why in the world is their a bowl of flour on the table!?

Ariana observes the bowl

    ARIANA - (shrugs)

    MARTHA - Room, now!

Ariana and Eden walk to the stairs trying not to laugh.

Eden and Ariana enter their room and sit on the bed laughing.

    ARIANA - I can not believe that just happened

    EDEN - Best dinner ever

Eden falls backwards on a bed still laughing. Eden sits up, and the cat jumps up by her.

EDEN - he needs a name.

ARIANA - how about Arizona.

EDEN - seriously?.

ARIANA - it was the first thing I thought of!

.zoom out and see a book on a bed table. they notice Ariana points at it.

    ARIANA - What's that?

    EDEN - Can we stay on topic please

Ariana picks up the book and looks at the cover.

ARIANA - how about Gray

EDEN - Grey... like the color

ARIANA -  no like the name on this book

Ariana hold up a book and writing on the front is Gray's Grave. Ariana opens it sitting down on a bed.

    ARIANA - *loud and annoying* dear reader...

    EDEN - what , what are you doing?

    ARIANA - I'm reading... If you are reading this...

    EDEN - just let me read

Eden reaches for the book, but Ariana pulls her hand back so Eden can't reach.

    ARIANA - nooo I wanna reeead

    EDEN - Just give me the book

Eden grabs the book from Ariana and rolls her eyes.

    EDEN - this book is full of mystery, but with mystery comes danger. There are people out there who would kill to get this book, but you can't let that happen you are my only hope

Eden turns the page than another page

    ARIANA - What does it say next

Eden turns the blank book towards her

    EDEN - nothing

    ARIANA - so much for full of mystery it's only one page.

Eden tosses the book in the garbage bin, and the sit down and start talking as the voices fade out we zoom in on the book and ominous music starts playing - fade to black.
