5. Chapter Five – Day Two

“Wake up, wake up, wake up,” I heard. Someone was bouncing on my bed.

“Gerroff,” I moaned.

“Wake up!” Someone’s chirpy. I opened my eyes a little – it was barely light.

“What time is it?” I heard Harry mumble from across the room. His voice was so deep when he just woke up!

“Six thirty,” a cheery voice came from his side. Louis? I opened my eyes and saw a grinning Grace kneeling on my bed, bouncing. Sitting up slightly, I saw Louis doing the same to Harry. And then Harry literally shoved him off the bed.

“I’m sleeping,” Harry said.

“It seems you aren’t,” I replied. I jumped out of my bed and went over, helping Louis up. Then we pulled the doona off of Harry. Luckily he was wearing boxers, even if he was shirtless – abs much!

“Go and get changed, guys,” I told Grace and Louis. They dashed out, giggling, and I grabbed some clothes and went to have a shower. Just as I reached the bathroom, I heard yelling. Seriously? It wasn’t even seven in the morning and they were fighting! I First I went into the girl’s room, where shrieks were coming from.

“What’s wrong? Oh.” I saw Grace jumping on Darcy’s bed, which had Darcy in it.

“Grace, get down,” I said. I grabbed her arm and pulled; it was hard trying to be a parent when the kids were as big as you!

“Darcy, stop screaming.” She shut up immediately, but jumped out of bed and opened her mouth. Before she could yell, I clapped my hand over her face; she was surprised, so I took advantage of it and said, “Both of you get dressed and go get Dad up.”

I left to go investigate the other yells. On the way, a sleepy Niall and Liam stumbled out of their room.

“Vas happening?” Niall said. I laughed; that was something that Zayn said a lot.

“I’m not sure, but I think I’m going to need some muscles; come on,” I replied. They followed me into Zayn and Louis’ room, where Louis was jumping on Zayn’s bed (which held one grumpy Zayn) and throwing things at Zayn.

“Louis, get down!” I signaled to Liam and Niall, who grabbed him and put him on the floor.

“Get dressed and go downstairs,” I yelled. “I am going to have a shower; if I hear one peep you’re all in huge trouble!” I went back into my bedroom, angry, and slapped Harry on his head. He was lying on his side, trying to hold onto the doona, which Grace was pulling on. Darcy was whacking him with a pillow, and he was trying to fend her off.

“Get up Harold! The children are all arguing and fighting and you need to watch them while I have a shower!” I stormed out, locked the bathroom door and turned the water on.

Stepping out five minutes later, I felt a lot calmer and more awake. Getting dressed, I went out of the bathroom and downstairs, where Niall, Louis, Liam, Grace and Darcy were playing some card game (Since I heard Gracie say, “Go fish,” I assumed that it was Go Fish) and Zayn was helping Harry look around the kitchen.

“What are we searching for, guys?” I asked, going in there.

“Um, bacon and eggs and pans and oil and bread and tomatoes,” Harry listed.I went to the chart and in thirty seconds had everything on the bench, oil in the pan and the stove on.
