"Why do we have to move? Can't I just stay here with oppa?"
"That will never happen; your brother is married now so you don't need to barge into his newly wedded life."
Lee Jinhee was not liking the thought of moving. She and her mom were arguing about her moving to Korea. Her mom got a job offer at a company that paid the same as her current job but coincidentally was in her home country. "I understand that the job pays well but why do we have to move? Your job here pays good enough,"
Jinhee's mom works as a hair stylist for celebrities. She doesn't understand why she would move to another country to do the same job but for different people. "I don't want to talk about this anymore. I want you to go to your room and finish packing your clothes. We are leaving tonight and that is final."
Jinhee knew she couldn't argue with her mom because...it's her mom. She went upstairs and slammed the door really loud. Leaning her back against the door she slid down and sat on the floor. "So this is it? You're moving and nothing will change her mind?"
"No..." Jinhee had both of her best friends in the room, Jasmine and Jeremy. "But I don't want you to leave us, without you we aren't Triple J anymore." Jasmine patted the spot between her and Jeremy indicating Jinhee to sit in the middle.
"I'm sorry guys. I don't want to leave you either, you're my only two best friends, my only two best friends to be exact. I don't want to go back to Seoul,"
"We will miss you so much," Jeremy laid his head on Jinhee's shoulder and so did Jasmine. Don't cry Jinhee...you promised yourself you'll save the waterworks for later. "I can't do anything about it. Just help me pack okay?"
"Fine...I'll pack the stuff on your desk and leave the clothes to you two," Jeremy said. "Jinhee, when you get there, make sure you take charge. I don't want you to change," Jasmine said.
The trio is the most popular students in their school; they aren't the means one though. They are friendly with everybody and yes, they all do have other friends but nobody can replace them. Jinhee, Jasmine, and Jeremy have been friends since they were eight years old. Jinhee moved to America when she was seven because her mom got a job offer there.
"I promise Jasmine. I'll stay the same old me, an angel yet can be a devil," They all laughed. Jeremy and Jasmine didn't know what they'd do if Jinhee left them, she was like their rock. Of course they can hang out even without Jinhee but things will never be the same. They are also trying to think of a way to tell Jinhee how they are dating before it's too late, even though it really is.
After about two hours, they all finished packing Jinhee's things and lay down on the bed. "When are you two going to tell me that you're dating?" Jinhee blurted out catching Jasmine and Jeremy off-guard.
"We were going to tell you but the day we were, you told us that you were moving." Jasmine was sitting crisscross while explaining. "Yeah Jinhee, we're sorry that we didn't tell you earlier. Are you mad at us?" Jinhee can hold the worst grudges ever, once, it took almost a year for her to get over her mom coloring her hair when she didn't realize. Jinhee told her mom to only dye the bottom half of her hair light brown but instead her mom went all out and colored all of her hair to a pastel gray.
Jinhee did talk to her mom but she just never got over it until a year was almost up. "I'm not mad at. I actually knew that you guys were dating before I knew I was moving,"
"Wait how did you know?"
"You guys suck at keeping a secret. I don't know why you thought you could hide it from me," Jinhee was laughing. She first knew that they were dating when she accidentally saw them kiss. Jinhee was coming out of the bathroom when she heard Jasmine and Jeremy talking, she went to check it out and saw them kissing.
"So that's how you knew. Well we didn't think you were in the bathroom at the time." Jasmine said. "It's alright, I'm not even mad. I'm really happy for you guys and honestly, now that I think about it, it will make the move easier for me."
"How so?" Jeremy asked. "I know that you two will have each other, to be there for one another since I won't be here. I also know that I won't have to third wheel anymore when we all hang out."
"What! How are you third wheeling?"
"Oh please Jasmine, you don't think I see you two sending each other finger hearts and giving the 'I love you' looks behind my backs? When I see it I just want to smack both of you, making me cringe all the time. That's why most of the time you see me hit something and my excuse is 'I killed a bug'." Laughter was heard among the three.
"Wow, well we're glad that we made the move easier in a way. But for real though, don't change okay? I get that this will be a whole new environment and all but be yourself okay?" Jeremy said. "You won't have to worry about that,"
"I just remembered! What if you meet up with your childhood friend?" Jasmine said. "My childhood friend?"
"Yeah, you always mention him from time to time, wasn't his name Jungkook?" Jeremy continued. Jinhee was trying to recall what he even looked like, "Honestly I don't know. Plus what are the odds that he will be in Seoul as well? I doubt I'll see him and even if I do I honestly wouldn't recognize him because it's been so long."
"That's too bad. It would've been awesome if you did because then it would become those cliché love stories where childhood friends find each other, hate one another, and then fall in love!" Jasmine finished by clapping her hands and looking off somewhere looking as if she saw something that was so handsome.
"Yah Jasmine. That is the last thing that will happen to me and you know that." Jinhee isn't one to fall in love easily after her last boyfriend who cheated on her.
"I know I know, but still, you know I just want you to be happy." Jasmine said. "Yeah I know Jazz and thank you." Jinhee's mom called them downstairs for dinner.
They were talking throughout dinner about everything. Jinhee's older brother and his wife joined them for dinner. I wish we could stay like this forever; I'm going to miss this so much!
It was seven o'clock and Jinhee and her mom needed to be at the airport. "I'll take you to the airport. Jasmine, Jeremy, you guys going to follow us?" Sungmin, Jinhee's older brother, asked.
"Yeah we will," Jasmine will ride with Jeremy. Jinhee's suitcase and few more luggages' containing her clothes and items were thrown into the car along with her mom's things. Sungmin was pulling out of the driveway and Jinhee was looking back at the house. Goodbye home sweet home.
