1st person Hermione's POV

He's coming back! Ron's coming home! I thought to myself , a stupid smile playing on my lips as I walked into the Great Hall.
Ron had gone on an Auror mission, along with some others. He had been gone almost 3 months, and I was so worried. I was afraid that he had died. Afraid that he wouldn't come back to me. It terrified me when he told me he was leaving. I had begged him not to go, but i knew he couldn't stay. But now he's coming home, and he's safe, and I couldn't be happier.
I sat down next to Harry and gave him a sisterly hug. "You excited for Ron to come back, aren't you?" Harry asked me. "Is it really that obvious?" I asked him.
"Yeah. It's really that obvious. With that stupid smile and the fact that your blushing gave it away."
Harry said, laughing. "Oh shut up!" I groaned. "When is he coming back?" "Should be any minute now."
I looked towards the huge double doors, anxious to see her boyfriend, whom She hadn't seen in 3 months. (Did I already say that? Whoops...)
"May I have your attention please?" Everyone turned to look at Headmaster Dumbledore. "Before we begin the feast, I would like to say a few words. First off, as you all know, Mr. Ron Weasley has been gone for 3 months on a dangerous Auror mission. He has done great deeds to the school by getting our very own Professor Bill Weasley back to the school safely. I know many of you are anxious to see him, some more than others, so without further ado, here he is, Ron Weasley."
The huge double doors opened, and there stood Ron. He looked around, until his eyes met mine. I got up from the table and ran towards him, as he held out his arms. I jumped into his arms and he spun me around. I felt like a small child compared to Ron's muscular form.
After he set me back on the floor, he kissed me gently. I wrapped my arms arms around his neck, deepening the kiss.
After we pulled apart, he wiped a tear that had escaped from my eye. He then hugged me tighter, not letting go for a very very long time. "Thank you, Ron and Hermione for that wonderful show, but of you would please sit down..." Dumbledore interrupted, as I felt redness come to my cheeks.
I grabbed Ron's hand and led him to the Gryffindor table where he was greeted by Harry, and Ginny, and many others. After Ron sat down, he grabbed my waist and pulled me to him. I rested my head on his shoulder, and sighed. Ron was back, and I couldn't be happier.
