3rd person Hermione's POV

Hermione hated storms. She always had. When she was little she would run to her mum and dads bedroom whenever it stormed. But now she was 17, almost 18, years old, and she's still scared of storms. She never told Harry, or even Ron, her boyfriend, but with the first big storm nearing Hogwarts, one of them was bound to find out.
She sat curled up in a ball with a blanket wrapped around her small body, shaking with fear. A loud crack of thunder came and she yelped, and hid lower under the blanket. She wanted someone with her, preferably Ron, but him and Harry were at quidditch practice and she wasn't sure what time they would be back. But she hoped they would be back soon.

Not even 10 minutes later, Hermione hears the door to Gryffindor Tower being opened, but she started in the same position. "Let's go get changed Ron." She heard Harry say. "Yeah. Hold on, I gotta find Hermione. Ginny, can you go up and get her?" She heard footsteps clammer up the stairs to the girls dormitory. She hears Ron get closer to the coach, and as he turned to sit he said "Mione? What are you doing down here? And why are you covered with a blanket like that? Are you okay?" Hermione shook her head. "What's the matter, love?" "You are going to think I'm childish." She said. "Mione, tell me what's wrong." He demanded, in a firm but sweet tone. "Ever since I was little, I've been afraid of storms. I still am. I just never told anyone cause there was no need to because there has never been a storm at Hogwarts." She explained very fast and all in one breathe. "I'll tell you what, I'm going to go change, and then I'll come lay down here with you, and we can snuggle and do whatever you'd like." Ron said to her. Hermione nodded. Ron gave her a quick peck on the lips and headed towards the boys dorm.

A few minutes later, Ron came back down the stairs and sat next to Hermione. Hermione then took her favorite position in his lap. She still had the blanket on, but she felt a lot warmer than she did before. (Can you guess why?😉) She snuggled close against Ron chest, resting her head in the crook of his neck. He held her tightly, obviously enjoying the fact that he's finally "protecting" her.

It had been raining and storming all night and Hermione couldn't fall asleep, she was too scared. Ron said he wouldn't fall asleep until she did, but he fell asleep anyway, but he still had a tight grip on Hermione's small body. Another crash of thunder boomed and she yelped, and burying her face in Ron's chest. Ron apparently woke up when he heard Hermione scream, and he pulled her closer, and kissed her hair. "Go to sleep, love. I'll be right here the whole time. I won't leave." He told her. She nodded and closed her eyes, not realizing how tired she was until she did so, and fell asleep immediately.

Let's just say, Ron stayed with her all night, and every night after that, even if there wasn't a storm.
