Sarah's pov

It's been weeks since Aaron's dead. I've locked myself in this dark room of my house.
I haven't had any blood too. I'm hungry and dying out of thirst. But I won't drink. I won't kill any innocent again. I deserve this.

My demon keeps on trying to get me out of the house, but I keep resisting. My stomach is twisting and my whole body is craving for blood, making me moan in pain. But this pain is nothing when compared to the one which is in my mind. I will resist blood as long as I can.

Who knows what I might do if I'm out? Already the wolves have left the town. The alpha didn't even allow me to attend his funeral. Let alone funeral, I wasn't even allowed to look at his....dead body. I can't blame him though. After all, their pack is destroyed by my grace. That's the least they could do to me after the  havoc I've created in their lives.

I heard a swift knock on my door.

"Go away.I don't want you" I yelled which made her heart beat fast. The last thing I want is to open the door and feed on Katie.  I swear I'd die of thirst but never ever feed on any human again.

"Please Sarah! You haven't been out since weeks. Please come out" I heard her cry between the words. I could sense her depression in my mind.

Everyday she'd come, bang the door and ask me to come out and everyday I'd hurt her with my mean words . Yet she would come with food or sometimes with blood bag and ask me to open the door.

I know how much it must have hurt her because she lost her best friend and upon that she's watching me die slowly. She's lonely just like I am.

I can't be weak and let her in. I think it's time for Katie to live her own life without me.She has her own normal life and I just can't let her live with me and endanger herself.  I'd always feel her through the bond, so I don't have to worry about her safety outside my house. She's unsafe as long as she's with me.

I got up from the corner of the room and slowly opened the door.

Even though I haven't fed in weeks I must admit that I had strength to resist a human with blood.
Her eyes hopefully lit up and she extended the tray containing blood bag. I took up the bag and drank it in one shot.  I wasn't full but was satisfied with it.

"Sarah-" I raised my hand to stop her. With my forceful coldness I said.

"You should leave".

"Yeah...I'm going to my room" she replied hesitantly.

I shook my head. No, I can't say this to her. But I have to.

"I mean to say that you should leave the house !right now!" I wailed, making her freeze at my words.

She stared at me in disbelief. I know how hard must've been to her, after all that she'd done to me.

"It's not you... It's your demon telling. You can't. .can't say this to me" she argued with the unshed tears in her eyes.

"It's me. Look into my eyes! It's me! I'm not asking you; I'm ordering you to leave  my house".These words must've stung her, as I felt her stomach twitching.

"I'm not leaving you. You..you need my help" she cried.

"Help? What help can you offer to me? Remember that you are just a pathetic human. You have no rights to even stand next to me. Be grateful that I let you live with me for so long." I snapped.
