needless,
to say,
i was,
guilty,
after,
shopping.

(to both,
ash and ivan,
as the former,
had decided,
to pay,
for those,
shoes.

while ivan,
had to follow,
us around,
for hours,
without buying,
anything.)

i planned,
to compensate,
to ivan,
by treating him,
to some drink.

(ash refused,
when i asked him,
if he wanted me,
to buy him anything.)

we dropped by,
at a cafe;
the boys,
sat across me,
and i chose,
to sit,
by the window,
which meant,
i was sitting,
right in front,
of ivan.

and since,
everyone was,
tired,
nobody spoke.

and i took,
the chance,
to observe,
the stranger,
who had tagged,
along us that day.

he was kind;
i wouldn't know,
if it was actually,
politeness,
courtesy,
of my presence,
but,
he was nice,
nevertheless.

if he was tired,
he didn't show;
not a single frown,
was plastered,
across his,
smooth skin,
and whenever,
i glanced,
he was always,
smiling.

he was nice,
he was patient,
he was everything,
i expected him to be,
whenever i would,
see him interact,
with his friends.

he was thoughtful,
he was genuine,
he was honest,
he was kind.

he was surreal,
and that's dangerous.

(because,
there's a chance,
that i might fall,
and that's dangerous.)
