**DRAKE'S POV**

Everybody went home to get some rest we had been here for a week already and there Re no signs of her getting any better they haven't even allowed visitors in not even family I stayed here all this week just incase she woke up. I told Brandon to go home because he needed the rest I finally convinced him to leave about an hour ago. it's now 3:24 am still waiting to hear how she is.

"Gemma's family?" a lady yelled looking like she was in her 20s. I stood up and raises my Hand and walked over to her

"I'm Gemma's step brother" I lied sense There was nobody here related to her I had to see what was going on

"Oh?, okay follow me I guess" she said with a week smile "I'm taking you to dr.mary's office she has some things to go over with you and some reports on your sister"she also said

She opened the door and told me to take a seat

"Thank you" I said

"No problem the doctor will be here in a moment she is picking up some papers" she replied

As soon as she closed the door Dr.Mary walked in and took a seat

"And you are?" She asked

"I uhh I am Gemma's step brother." i explained to her

"Eh okay whatever I know your drake and you are not related to her what so ever" she laughed "but sense you are good friends with her and there is nobody else here I will go on and tell you what is wrong with her. yes?"

"Urmm yes please" I said

Okay so Gemma has here what we call Haemoptysis it is the medical word for coughing up blood. This symptom is usually due to a problem within the airways or lungs. There is a range of different causes. Gemma's causes are rare she has been coughing a lot lately yeah?" She asked

"I'm pretty sure" I replied

"Well Gemma is young to have this, she isn't getting enough air in her lungs causing her airways to dry out and get raw then there isn't enough air or oxygen to get into her blood causing it to come out in anyway or bruise very often." She said

"Wow"i said as my jaw dropped

"Yes well we are hospitalizing her for the rest of today and tomorrow night she can leave if she feels strong enough, but when she leaves there is no surfing, skating, running, jogging, and no dancing" she explained to me

Gemma is going to die no surfing no fucking skating and most of all no dancing for 6 whole months

"Okay I will make sure that won't happen" I reply as I walk out the door to call everyone

**phone call**

Brandon: hello?

Drake: hey I just talked to the doctor

Kate: who is It is it drake let me talk to him

Hey drake is she okay

Drake: that's kinda the thing you all need to come to the hospital every body please

Skylar: we are on our way now

**end of phone call**

**LANE'S POV**

We walk into the hospital and I go and lay on the bed with Gemma carful not to move her cords. Kaden pulled a chair up and fell asleep at the foot of her bed and Brandon just sat there holding her hand rubbing tiny circles on it and kissing her forehead

I opened my eyes to look at Gemma and I see her eyes flicker open and see her gasp for air

"Lane?" She asked

"Yeah bæ" I replied making her smile

"Am I dead" she asked laughing

"Hell no girl your a fighter your not dying till you 1000" i said crying of laughter

"Kaden why are you drooling on my feet!" the tried yelling but it came out as a regular talking indoor voice

"Huh, oh hey- OH MY GOD GEMMA!" He yelled

"Uh heyyy" she said back

"Can you guys shut up I'm trying to sleep" Kate said

"Well thanks for the love"gemma said

She fluttered her eyes open and became wide eyes and just smiled

Gemma turned to her side where Skylar way laying next to her

"Thank you sky" Gemma whispered into her ear as she though she was asleep

"Chase kept his promise"she whispered back into Gemma's ear

We all looked at each other and laughed

Sky sat up "oh and before you and Kate ask Wes drake and Brandon are at Starbucks grabbing breakfast incase you wake up

Gemma pulled sky into a big hug "now we are close again"
