Dinner Time

Clementine's Point of View

As Finn walked in the house Jenny stared going upstairs to get some rest. Finn came inside and said, "Hey Clementine we need to make dinner come to the kitchen with me." "Alright." I said responding to his comment. We made our way into he kitchen. Finn and I decided to make chicken stir fry. "Finn," I said trying to get his attention, "I'll cut the vegetables. What will you be doing?" I asked him curiously. He asked. "Is it okay if I cook it and you cut everything up?" "Yeah that's fine." I said. I proceeded with chopping the vegetables first but I needed to get to the sink which was on the other side of the kitchen where Finn was so I started walking over there. Then, I slipped on water falling backwards thanks to Finn's reflexes he caught me when I was inches away from the floor with his arms around my back. We stared at each other for a long moment when Jenny broke the silence. "Um... what are y'all doing???" Jenny asked in alarm. Finn was startled and dropped me into the puddle and falling so then he was inches away from my face. His face turn cherry red. Mine probably turned a light shade of pink. I was tempted to do something I might regret but I didn't. "Sorry I didn't mean to..." Finn started to say. "It's okay but can you help me up?" I asked. He got up then helped me up and got a towel for the mess and Me. I thanked him. While Jenny made her way back upstairs. I through the veggies and chicken into the pot when up behind me. He put his arms around mine and helped me stir the pot eventually after we finished cooking the food we sat down next to each other to eat. "So what is your favorite animal on Ooo." I asked politely. Finn answered "The dancing bug." "Oh yeah from episode one the time you were dancing with it." I laughed a little remembering. "How did you know that?" Finn asked. "Oh I just guessed." I said sheepishly. "Well, good guess." Finn said cheerfully. We finished up dinner and I started on the dishes. "Hey you want to dry I can wash." I asked Finn. "Nah it's ok we let them air-dry." He told mean. "Okay." I washed the small batch of dishes they had in the sink and set them on a towel to dry. Finn was waiting for me on the couch so I joined him. We sat down and played on BMO. But, I started to yawn so he thought it would be best if I went to sleep. "Why I want to stay with you. " I groaned, but then I realized what I said and blushed. Then Finn did too. He responded by, " Well I guess we could stay up a little longer. " We played on BMO for a while longer it was great spending time with Finn. I don't remember falling asleep but I knew I was asleep though. I must've been snoring (due to the darkness).
