Everyone seemed to accept Mar'i's vague statement except for the twins, who listened suspiciously to the explanation about why only their sister was needed for the dangerous sub-mission. "One of the files we received on the flash drive were blueprints to the Watchtower from this year." In the three decades since 2011, extensions and adjustments had been made to the Justice League's space mission control, so the 2041 version was rather different. "It lets us know that the mainframe can only be accessed from the bridge, the computer bank. We were going to send Lena or Alex up to download all we needed, but realised that we kind of aren't part of the database for another thirty years..." She paused, letting it sink in before continuing for the quiet audience. "That's why we need you, Hallie. You can change forms to become one of the League members and get up into Watchtower."

"That's actually a pretty good idea," Apollo remarked quietly.

"What if there are other Leaguers up there, though, Mar'i? That's bad," Cayden insisted, frowning in worry. If this mission was going to hurt a member of the team, she wouldn't allow it, or she'd find a way to go up herself. "These ones aren't our parents, and they'll already be on alert for something wrong. Batman probably called it in when we did our fight-then-flight."

"He did," confirmed J'onn, super hearing being useful as always. "Actually, why doesn't Zac just transport someone else?" Everyone stopped arguing to look at him, realising that what he had just said was quite sensible. The whole time this was going on, Hallie was rolling her eyes and exchanging glances with Alex and his sister, the three knowing it was all pointless and that they should have started moving a whole five minutes ago. Hal realistically imagined that they were the only two on the team that understood and respected that she could hold her own and was easily capable of doing what had to be done. That she didn't always need protecting.

"Yeah, Zac, can you do it instead?" Seven pairs of eyes turned to the magician, who smiled a little sheepishly, embarrassed. He showed both hands and wiggled his fingers, displaying his helplessness.

"Sorry guys, I'm all out of... well, everything. The time travel spell took a hell of a lot more out of me than I had to give. It's gonna be a while before I get any of my magic back." The twins sighed, a little defeated.

"Are you done?" the green-skinned girl asked, arms folded, staring accusingly at the others. "I've already said I'll do it. That's that." Then to seemingly thin air she said, quite indignantly, "Shut up, I have more Martian that you." Irey stifled a giggle at the random words. Briefly, Hallie looked intently at her brothers before they backed down with the telepathic questioning.

"Are we all decided?" Mar'i cautiously intruded. The group nodded. "Good. So, who would be easiest to imitate, Hal? What about Martian Manhunter?" She shook her head, twisting her lip frustratedly.

"I can't copy boys well. What about Wonder Woman? I can mostly mimic her powers if it comes to a confrontation." And like that, the small, unassuming girl with leaf coloured skin grew and reshaped to form the body of Wonder Woman, uniform following suit until she looked like the real Amazonian princess.

"That's good," Mar'i smiled, eyes scanning to check for corrections needing to be made and finding none. "Nice impression. Now let's save that for the mission." Hallie returned to her normal form with a slightly excited look. The rest of them watched as Alex plugged the flash drive into his Holo-glove and selected an image on the blue screen above.

"This is the nearest zeta tube without having to loop back past Mount Justice." Without much more ceremony, they began to trek after the half-alien boy with the directions, hoping to whichever god or gods they prayed to that this mission would start to go more smoothly.
