Today is just another day in the office, nothing exciting happens here. Yesterday was quite eventful though, one of my coworkers got into a big argument with the boss infront of everyone. Ive never seen a lady get thrown on her ass by two huge men so fast.

I work in a financial aid building that helps people find employment, and offer many other helpful benefit's. I am the CEO's personal assistant, her name is Rochelle Rodriguez. I have been working for her for about two and a half years now.

She is really nice and helpful, we get along well. I take calls for her, messages, schedule appointments, all that fun stuff.

Today she was expecting people to come interview for the position that opened yesterday. It was about 10:25AM when she called me into her office.

"Ms. Adams, thank you for coming so quickly. I am rushing to a meeting I totally forgot about." Mrs. Rodriguez says while she packs her belongings. "I need you to do the interviews today."

"Meeting? Ma'am you dont have a meeting today." I say confused.

"Personal meeting my dear. Anyways, you know all my requirements, and what Im looking for in an employee. Here are the questions, and fill me in when I return tomorrow. Have a good day Ms. Kristy!" she smiles and walks out of the office.

I must admit I wasnt expecting this, but everything she said was true. I know exactly what she wants and how she wants it.

I return to my desk and close her office door behind me. When I sit down my phone rings, the caller ID was the front desk.

"Hey Maxine, Rochelle is out for the day." I say though the phone, "I'll be taking over her duties."

"Thats just fine, I have a lady out here. She said she has an interview with Mrs. Rodriguez?"

"Ah, yes send her back. There should also be some more people coming for this. Just let me know."

The phone call ends and within minutes a young lady with blonde hair and glasses walks to my desk.

"Hello. Im Michelle Hathslinger. I have an interview with Rochelle Rodriguez." she smiles brightly.

"Yes, Rochelle is out today, so I will be interviewing you. I'm Kristy." I smile and shake her hand. "Have a seat."

She sits down and looks a little caught off guard or concerned.

"Is there a problem Ms?" I ask making sure everything is okay.

"No. I was just, expecting to interview with the CEO, not her assistant." she says a little offensively.

"Oh, well I am taking over for today. So I guess you could say I'm the CEO." I try to laugh away her slight insult.

We go on with the interview, I quickly noticed she wasn't fit for the job. Yet, I continue through, just standard procedure. Give every person a chance.

I told her we would give her a call after looking through her file. Typical things you tell someone if they bombed an interview.

The day went on and I did about 5 interviews all together. Its just nobody seemed good for the spot. They just didnt seem like what Rochelle needed.

It was now 4:38PM and I had one more interview to do before I was able to go home for the day. I sat there and watched the clock, waiting for the last person to come and go.

Finally my phone rang and I answered quickly. I hear Maxines voice immediately.

"Hello, our last interview for the day is here." She chirps.

"Send them back! And have a good rest of your day Maxine." I say sweetly then hang up.

The day is almost over.
