I look up at the man stopping me and he smiles down at me. I smile back because he is hot and he might buy me a drink.
"Hello, whats your name?" he says in a cool tone.
"Its Kristy. You?" I ask over the music.
"Whats a gorgeous girl like you doing in a place like this?" he raises a brow and looks around, ignoring my questiom.
I blush and say, "Just trying to have a good time. My friend totally ditched me. I was just leaving."
"Have you been drinking?" he asks and a huge smile spreads across my face.
"Just a little."
"Are you planning on driving?" he steps closer.
"Absolutely not. Im gunna cab it." I say and stupidly point towards the exit with hypothetical guns.
"Nonsence, let me drive you I havent been drinking." He insists and grabs my hand, pulling me towards the exit.
Honestly, I dont care. He offered, so why not? I follow to his car, on our way a lot of people look at me and say goodnight to him. I just follow along and finally we reach the doors, I take a deep breath of fresh air as we step out.
The sky is beautiful, Im so ready to go home and fall asleep. Maybe eat something first.
All that seemed so great, but not even two steps away from the building I hear a pop and feel warm liquid splash all over me. People start screaming and scattering away.
Suddenly, I get dragged to the ground by a heavy weight. I look over at the man next to me and see him unconscious. And Bleeding!
I scream and scoot away, now realizing the blood covering my body. I look at the man again and see a bullet hole right in his temporal lobe. A pool of blood surrounding him. Security surround me and him and they all pull out guns. Tears are running down my face, my body shaking in fear.
"Let me go!" I cry trying to get away.
They wouldn't move! The damn assholes stayed like statues pointing hand guns in random directions.
"Please move!" I yell and start hitting their backs.
One finally moves and I start running. As fast as I can, wherever I can go. Two large arms suddenly wrap around me and stop me, I let out a scream and start swinging my arms.
"Whoa whoa whoa! Kristy, Its Me!"
I pull away and look at the person standing infront of me. Shaking in fear still, crying heavy tears.
"Andrew? What are you doing here?" I cry out.
"I was with some friends, then I heard a gunshot. Is that your blood?!" His eyes go wide and he steps close.
"No! No, it was this mans. He got shot! We have to get out of here!" I cry.
"Alright, alright lets go my car is right here." He speaks quickly.
Without thinking I hop into his really nice black mustang, and we drive off. It wasnt until 5 minutes later I said something and finally finished crying and hyperventilating.
"Uhm. Andrew?" I ask quietly.
He stays silent.
"W-where are we going?" I stutter.
"Just let you freshen up at my place. Youre covered in blood." he says while he watches the road.
I dont say anything, and nod. I shouldn't of drank so much, I would object and demand to be brought home. But I dont want to be alone, I just cant believe Im with Andrew.
After 20 minutes we pull up to a nice sized house and park in a garage. Andrew steps out and walks over to my door, opening it and sticking out his hand. I hesitate, then grab it. He helps me get out of the car and guides me to the door.
"Follow me." he says lowly.
I do as directed, and we walk into his beautiful house. I look around in awe and he brings me into the restroom.
"Your house is beautiful." I say trying to distract my mind from what just happened.
"Thank you, my mother chose it." he speaks. "I'll be right in this room if you need me."
I dont say anything because I notice myself in the mirror. I have blood all over me. I begin to cry again, images of that man flash through my brain.
"Oh my god." I look away. "He died. He died right next to me and I ran. I ran like a coward." I looks at the ground tears streaming down my face.
Andrew steps close to me and lifts my chin so Im looking into his eyes. For a moment I forget everything. Those eyes are the most beautiful eyes in the world.
"Youre not a coward. You wanted to be safe. Youre safe." he says calmly. "Just shower, Ill be right outside the door. Then you can get some rest."
"Okay.." I whisper.
He nods and walks out, looking at me once more before shutting the door.
