One Month Later-Kristy's POV
Andy and I have gone to lunch every day since that day he asked me the first time. He is such a sweet guy, and he has a great attitude.
Ive also come to terms with how attractive he really is. Luckily for me, I dont get intimidated by him anymore. I feel like I can talk to him openly about more things.
This lunch thing is begining to turn into a regular thing. Honestly, its kind of confusing. Im not sure what to call this relationship between us.
Are we friends? Maybe we are just like this because we are coworkers and we spend every work day together. So we aren't friends?
Maybe...No. Thats just silly. There is no attraction like that between us. But I mean, the things he says may bring evidence to the thought.
"You look beautiful today." "I love spending lunch with you." "Youre so great."
During lunch sometimes he will lay his hand ontop of mine and leave it there. Making my hand burn at his touch. He also kisses my hand like he did the first time I met him.
I constantly think about him, which isnt good because he is my coworker. And thats kind of frowned apon by most people. To make matters worse? We only talk at work.
I never see him outside of work. The only time I saw him was that night. That terrible night, that poor man...
××
Its Friday and as usual Andy asked me to join him for lunch. Of course I said yes, he always tells me the best stories about this guy that saves the world from bad guys.
Sounds stupid I know. But if you heard him explain the stories, they sound so realistic! And they are so entertaining. The guy he talks about is a true hero, well according to Andrew.
When we show up to iHop, our designated lunch place, We order our food and wait patiently sipping our drinks."So what are you up to this weekend?" he looks into my eyes with a half smile.
"Well, nothing. Nobody has really asked me to do anything. Im kind of a loner." I giggle.
He chuckles and smirks at me, "You know you'll always have me."
The steady butterflies in my stomach go into a mass frenzy. Bouncing off the walls of my stomach and doing flips.
"Well, I only see you during work. Soo-" I trail off looking at his gorgeous-no. Regular face.
"If you want to see me outside of work just say so." He leans back in his chair and raises his hands.
I laugh and slap him playfully on his forearm. I dont say anything, I just look at my hands that are folded infront of me.
"Kris?" I hear his voice lowly.
I look at him and smile, "Hmm?"
"Do you want to- uh.. Maybe come to my place tonight? We could have dinner, maybe watch a movie."
I sit in shock for a moment. Go to his house for dinner? Like.. Outside of work. Where there is no work rules.. Suddenly I realize I have been silent for a while I clear my throat.
"Oh, of course. That sounds great." I smile and look into his beautiful eyes.
A large grin forms on his face and he sits up straighter.
"Really? Awesome. Ill pick you up at 8, yeah?" He asks.
I blush at his reaction and nod, "Eight sounds great."
Our food finally arrives and we begin to eat. Out of no where Andy looks at me and says in a serious tone.
"Wanna hear another story about The Hero?" he asks.
I nod and smile, yes. The stories were one of my favorite parts of lunch.
"Well, it was back way when he first started his little business. His older brother is the bad guy in this story unfortunately." He says slowly as we continue to eat our food. "But the Hero became very popular very quickly. And his brother didnt like that-"
The story went on until we finished our food and it ended on a sad note. The Hero never talked to his brother again.
But on a good note- I am going on a date tonight.
