Chapter 18

18 = falling for her

Juan Karlos' POV

I can't believe I'm falling for her. You read that right. My bestfriend. But obviously she likes Darren, she likes my bro. She just treats me like a brother. How will she like me back when she just see me as a friend, almost like a brother to her? I need to tell her my feelings today. I got my phone and texted her.

Sophia, meet me at the park at 2. I need to tell you something.

It's Saturday today so no prob. I changed into my jeans and a plain shirt. Since it was already 1:30, i decided to walk on the way to the park since it was just a 15-minute walk.

~30 minutes laterrr~

"JK!" I heard my name being shouted by a familiar voice.

She's here.

"Oh, h-hey S-Sophia!" I tried not to look nervous but failed.

"Hey! What's the matter? What are you going to tell me?" I gathered all the courage I need. Ok, breathe in, breathe out.

"Well," i started

"I like you, Sophia." I said, looking downward.

Sophia's POV

"I like you, Sophia." But. I just see him as my bestfriend. It'll break his heart when I'll friend-zone him.

"Uh, JK? Uhh, I need to think about this. Can you give me sometime? Let's just uh, meet on Wednesday. I have a lot of things to do." I lied. I wanted to talk to someone about this.

"Uhh, I better get going." I said, before he was leaving.

I rushed to Darren's house right away. Good thing no one was there except him. I knocked on the door thrice before he answered it.

Darren's POV
Yes! I am now home alone! *victory dance* but then I was irrupted by a sudden knock on the door. I looked through the peephole to see who it was.

Sophia.

But wait, she's starting to cry. I opened the door immediately. I let her in.

"What's the problem? Why're you crying?" I said patting her back. I honestly don't know how to make a girl stop crying.

"J-JK..." She started.

"WHY WHAT DID HE DO TO YOU I SWEAR IM GONNA STRANGLE HIM IF HE DID SOMETHING TO YOU." I said, ready to attack Karlos.

"No, no, Please don't. H-he just *sniff* said that *sniff*
h-he," I was listening to her carefully.

"H-he said that he likes me." When she said the last three word I felt pain in my heart and I don't know why.

"Well, I don't want to hurt his feelings because I only see him as a brother. A bestfriend. I don't want our friendship to be ruined because of that. It'll break his heart if I friendzone him." He really cares for Karlos, huh?

Of course she cares! She treats him like her brother! Nuthead.

Of course! Why didn't I think of that?

"Hey," i said, tapping her shoulder. She looks at me and all I can say is she's cute even when she's crying.

"Stop crying. Oh, I know! How about some ice cream and a movie?" I suggested. I saw her face lit up especially her eyes. She just gave me a warm smile. Good thing I have ice cream here. In a big container. I got two spoons. I handed her one. I had a hard time picking which ice cream flavor bc i think she will choose another flavor.

"I know you like cookies n cream! Just choose that! That's also my fave!" She shouted from the living room.

"You really know me, huh?" I said to her while walking with the ice cream.

"Fangirl eh." She said while smirking.

"I'm lucky then." I said smiling, facing her direction.

"Coz I is rare." We laughed cause 'I is' is our language. We often use that but not too much.

"Start the movie, you loser!" She laughed while throwing a pillow at me which I dodged. I pressed the start button and then we were watching a movie.

We finished the ice cream when we weren't even close to the half of the movie. We were singing along to the songs bc we felt the urge to sinnging along to them.

When the movie almost ended, I felt something on my shoulder. I looked at my left and saw Sophia sleeping, her head was resting on my shoulder. I'll be home alone for three days sooo... She can sleepover in my house! Yayyy
